  1. If you really have to go through an automated car wash I say shut the car off especially with an aftermarket air intake. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Probably going on 10k miles since the clutch swap? I'll check my book after work to confirm Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. I bought the TSK3 kit when my throw out bearing went out with my southbend stage 3 daily smfw setup. The guy who installed my clutch was a master subaru tech and told me to get an ACT HD clutch and theor lightweight flywheel. I had all the parts and he did not install the tsk3 kit at all. I ended up selling it. 2 years later I think and still no issues. I'm sure there will be mixed reviews. But I'm happy with the ACT setup without the tsk3 kit. Keep in mind I have grimmspeed tmic, id1000s, stx71 turbo, perrin ELH on e85 and it's going strong no issues with clutch etc. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. Sounds like a leak somewhere. I have the saikou michi dual catchcan and after draining it the 1st time I didnt close the drain nut tight enough and when I started my car it was running really rough. Do you hear a hissing sound at all? It should be pretty audible. Hope you find the source. Loose hose clamp? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. ELH FTW! Lol. Add the EWG and you'll be in paradise. I just got the grimmspeed adapter for the 3"DP to oem catback along with the donut. Getting older and considering putting oem exhaust back on for stealth mode. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. 10 years ago is a long time lol. But if I could recall it feels really good. Just as good as stock ride comfort i would say. I was happy with it for the short time it was on my car. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. I ended up installing my koni yellows with sti pink springs that I had in my possession for quite some time. My stock suspension was way overdue to be replaced. Ket me know. Its boxed and ready to ship! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. I bought pink springs paired with koni yellows 5 years ago and tell me why I just installed it 1 month ago. Love that there is no gap. And not as saggy as I thought but I have a 08 legacy gt. Took a while to score the pink springs but if HKC speed is still around Randy can try to help source them for you. I have pics of my car I can text you. Or check it out on Instagram. ChefO.Soriano I daily my car and installed them with 137k miles. Now put 1k miles and love it. Love my car all over again. I believe its 2 clicks from soft and rides great! No complaints at all! One of my most fave mods since owning her for 11 years. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. Dom is definitely a reputable subaru guru. The shop that did my sti power steering rack install also fabbed up one. I almost bought one during the cyber monday deal along with other parts. I backed out and figured if my car has been fine these past 11 years why change it now. This does all make sense and will probably do this mod when I get my block built/get a new shortblock. The thing i feared was the other cylinders getting a bit warmer and with 138k I'll just let it ride. Even temps across the board seems better and #4 is a nice improvement. I think I even saw his YouTube video a handful of times. I'll probably still pick one up and install one for the heck of it. Would like to see more data and installs/reviews. Boy this legacy is a never ending project hahahaha. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. I just did a full detail on my car and have this awesome hood scoop. It did great with the meguiars clay bar, compound, polish and wax. Will put my CF mirror overlays and CF duckbill spoiler really soon to complete the look Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. I hated it at first but it grew on me man. I get alot of compliments on the color too so that helps haha. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. Wash, clay, ultimate compound, ultimate polish, ultimate wax. 11 years of having her and she still sparkles and shines Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  13. Bought the Spec B interior so I can replace the worn tan leather and door cards the dog beat up. My boss approved that I can get it shipped to work. Good thing we have 4 docks at work haha. Also been keeping an eye out every day or every other for a spec B 6 speed transmission to match the interior. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. Spark plugs changed. Finally had the guts to do it with a Subie buddy. I did his brakes on his WRX while he showed me the tips to tackle the plugs. Sucks that when I took my car to a local shop here in Vegas when doing my whiteline rear lateral link install and spark plug change, the plugs were definitely not changed. On another note, after having the 15' Sti steering rack a couple weeks now, I love it, I love it. Gotta love the ease of lock to lock is just 1 1/4 turn i would say. Now just keeping an eye out for a 6 speed swap preferably spec b and it will be nearly complete.
  15. Selling some barely used like new Monroe Quick Struts for the front driver and front passenger side. Bought off of rockauto.com and only installed them for less than 500 miles. Ended up finally installing my koni yellows paired with STi pink springs. Part #172498 and #172499 Fitment for 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy Asking $200 shipped to your door to US 48 states Thanks for looking
  16. Spark plugs on order, pulled trigger on the 15' Sti steering rack and u joint. As well as getting ready for koni yellow and ati pinks install. It was a tough decision on whether I was going to sell it, part of out, or keep pushing. Love my 4th gen that much lol Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. Merry Christmas to my legacy gt modding addicts! Drove my dirty Penny 300ish from Las Vegas to San Diego for the week to spend with family. Still driving nice and kicking hard. Enjoy your holidays with your loved ones Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. Got around to installing some speakers after applying second skin sound deadening. Its night and day with just the sound deadening and stock speakers. But wow! What a huge improvement with some JBL Club 6520 in the rears and Rockford Fosgate R153x3 in the fronts. I'm not an audio guy but it sounds amazing. Paired with the ia tuning speaker mounts the install was a breeze. I'm a very happy camper. I'm in love with my car yet again haha Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. I put some second skin sound deadening on the front passenger and driver side as I will finally be putting in some new speakers I ordered from crutchfield along with the iA tuning speaker mounting brackets. I should have done this 10 years ago hahaha. But I like horsepower performance more than stereo upgrades. What a huge difference. Will finish rear doors today. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. When I see high 40s it takes a while to crank and turn over. Besides I'm driving to cali for the holidays and 16 mpgs vs 28ish mpgs on pump sound better. Hahaha Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. Emptied my oil catch can. Maybe 2 oz of fluid. Not bad for 6 months. Filled up one last tank of e85 before it gets too cold. Maybe 1 more, just maybe. 137k miles on the clock. Tuned on stock block since 19k. Shes still healthy! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  22. Sorry to hear about this man. Glad you are able to walk away and your daughter wasnt hurt. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. Just finished doing my drivers side front wheel bearing and it was a success. There was an odd noise earlier in the week and got slightly louder. 135k miles and still smooth sailing. I was worried it was transmission but at the same time was ready for a 6 speed swap. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. I changed my passenger headlamp assembly yesterday and noticed a nice leak in my power steering rack. Given the age and a handful of chicago winters it's time to swap it out with a new one. Any recommendations guys? New oem/refurbished from rock auto or STI rack better? Thanks in advance. I just want to swap new as no downtime to rebuild with new seals etc. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  25. While doing some logging on e85 the boost gauge hose manage to come off the nipple. Double zip tied it, definitely not coming off anytime soon. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
