  1. I just figured I would make a post in here and see how many of the original guys from the mountain west forum still check in here. Unfortunately its been a bit since I sold my "last" legacy and wish we could still get together with some of the new rides we may all have picked up now. Chime in and let me know what your driving now and how things are going! Dave
  2. Ares3985 - I really like the VF52 upgrade on an LGT for cheap, easy power upgrade. You can get away with stock injectors and still get 80% of what the VF52 is capable of for a budget 30-40whp increase most times. I advise a 3port boost controller the moment a turbo is swapped out for something larger as its the best way to get back to the same or similar boost response as well as have control to hold or taper boost very quickly due to fuel demands. I like to see an upgraded fuel pump on any non stock supplied turbo as well since we will now be pushing the car harder than it was before and most likely your pump is 8-10 years old by now anyway in a 4th gen. Hope that helps and let us know if we can help with any of the tuning side of things for ya! Have a great day all! Dave
  3. oh yeah, I have had customers with 05/06 LGT's come in with 150k on them and be like "alright I just bought this blouch 1.5xt,injectors and flex fuel kit, lets do this" I advise about the possible issues and then we make it safe and strong but some customers are pushing 360-380whp on our heartbreaker for years afterward and another 50k! Kind of hard to believe sometimes..... Dave
  4. You can always pull your rom image and submit it on romraider.com for definitions if there are none currently available. It may cost you a "donation" to the team but well worth it in the long run. Good luck man! Dave
  5. Ive tuned plenty of cars over 100k miles, its all about the condition and health of the car prior to tuning. I normally start to cringe when doing the same thing over 135k or so but subaru's will be subaru's....Some last forever modded to heck and some pop stock so who knows, might as well enjoy it! Dave
  6. Hows the car treating you? We just got the ECUTEK software for these and love the flex fuel, map switching, launch control features. Dave
  7. Only a few days left to take advantage of the etune promo! Thanks for the orders and always let us know what we can do to help! Dave

  12. Hey there, The stage 2 OTS should be just fine for the auto trans as long as there are not underlining problems with it already. Be careful with a trans cooler if you live in very cold climates, otherwise its a great addition. Check the rad caps as mentioned above, they are not interchangable. Hope that helps and congrats on your purchase, they are great cars. If you decide you want to go with a custom calibration we are happy to help as well. Dave
  13. sorry to see ya go but good luck with your new project! Dave
  14. We normally wait for holidays to run specials, We figured we would change it up this time 10% OFF August Etune special. Prices are live on the website. Thanks for the continued support, I love this community. Dave
  15. 21. We like to leave the boost control 100% to the stock ebcs control system *with the stock or upgraded ebcs like you have* We have no issue controlling boost with the stock system so the guage boost setup is not going to be needed and is of no benefit imo..... Thats normally more designed for cars without a current ebcs setup thats tuned for their mods and can be used for safety but we would rather leave it all up to the ecu. Hope that makes sense. On another note we are dropping our August 10% off etune special today. We figured we always run promos for holidays and such but realized we never run a promo for august so here is it! Thanks and prices are live on the website. Dave
  22. You will not need a boost controller setup as the car comes with an electronic setup already that works with the ecu. I would just do sensor and guage.
  23. Well I never really mentioned it because I was sad but I had to sell the spec b for a few reasons but ended up picking up a SUV to tow around toys, go camping etc. We are still a two subaru family and now the wifes FXT is the fun turbo car since we dont have to take it camping etc anymore so we put a bigger turbo, brakes, suspension etc.....I do miss getting into a LGT everyday though but after 4 legacies I suppose it was time to change it up a little. I'm still on here all the time and will continue to be, the 4th gen LGT is still the best looking, best performing all around *comfort, power potential, sleeper status* car I've ever owned and I still tune a couple a week so I still get to play. Dave
  24. There are writeups and videos on youtube but here is a link for someone who did it on thier STI. Obviously you want to make sure the wiring is correct for your specific application. Keep in mind a wideband is always helpful but not required for our stage 1 and stage 2 as well as upgraded turbo stock fueling tunes like the vf52/16g etc. Thanks and looking forward to working with you Dave
