  8. stock sti/06+ wrx/07-09 LGT is going to be the cheapest, I go with grimmspeed otherwise due to the lifetime warranty. Dave
  9. Keep in mind the cobb kit *or any fp sensor kit for that matter *can work though the tgv harness to actually raise and lower fuel pressure in the event of a mechanical issue by increasing the injector scaler if set up in the tune as well as be monitored via the ap. Seen it save a few motors and is called fuel pressure compensations. I always use a mechanical pressure guage via my otc test kit for quick tests. Dave
  10. Heres a good write up on vac leaks for these cars we did a while back. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/intake-vacuum-leaks-and-you-pics-inside-235626.html hope that helps. Dave
  11. your not kidding mike, hope all is well up there in the north lol... Dave
  12. yeah unfortunately searching facebook is about as useful as hitting my head against a wall till i pass out.....forums still have the info people learned a decade ago and is very searchable.....its really a bummer for sure. Dave
  13. yep, ran into this with a car we tuned a long time ago and pulled my hair out over it. Customer installed the EBCS down the street before a tune *we dont allow people to work on thier cars in the parking lot and he didnt want to have us do it* He had mounted it directly to the firewall/fender area and thought it looked cleaner without bushings etc. Put it on the dyno, turned the fans on and went about my business. The fans covered up the sound since its very light sounding to begin with and nothing was tripping on any knock readings etc. Upon doing the test drive I could hear something that was "concerning" at specific rpms etc and never thought it could be the ebcs since we always use the rubber mounts and all I checked pretune was the routing of the lines. Customer said it never made that sound before the tune so we went rounds tryng to figure out what was causing it, sure enough we figured it out and the noise was gone instantly once using a rubber bushing. The "click" from the solinoid was being amplified under the hood and sounded like lifter tick etc one it got into the range of rpms where it started pulsing..... pretty crazy for sure. Dave
  14. Hard to believe this thread is almost 7 years old! Just wanted to let everyone know we are still very active on the forums but its really nice to see that most people on here actually search thus us having to answer less of the same original questions. We dont post a ton but are 100% dedicated to your calibration needs via etune or local and really appreciate the support over the years to allow us to grow to where we are today! Thanks! Dave

  17. well then.....I guess that answers that question
  18. Great to see Dan! Cant wait to see a more long term review and very interested in the powertrain as my brother in law has the accent but thats a BIG vehicle. Still remember the machv forums back in my dsm days Dave
  19. Have you reached out to your tuner? They may be able to review and tell you if its something of concern. Its hard to tell without seeing a log, we are happy to do a quick review for ya to see if its normal operation or something that looks odd. Go ahead and shoot us an email at cryotuneperformance@yahoo.com and we can discuss your options as well. ' Dave
  20. Stared at a LGT we were working on the other day and contemplated buying another one......I've had my eyes on the new Legacy XT with the 2.4DIT motor but dont know if I can handle the cvt even for a little bit.....they need the 6speed from the 10-12 lgt or wrx 6speed for me to really be interested. Dave
  21. We have a q60 in doing the ams stage 3 package right now and a custom ecutek tune. I have not had any issue flashing these cars thus far. Definitely power houses in stock form but downright scary with a few choice mods. Dave
  22. Yup, kicking it old school lol Tape deck and drop down DVD player Dave
  23. Congrats on the purchase, they are really cool cars. I would 100% spend the money on maintenance first and foremost. Suspension upgrades go a long way with those cars as well. Last but not least you need an accessport as an entry to any type of power upgrades and can get a good punch with an upgraded CATTED downpipe and a OTS or custom tune. We work with a lot of local LGT members and just had a 2012 here the other day for a custom tune. Let us know if we can ever help you out and swing by the shop sometime and say hello! Welcome to the forum Dave
  24. I'm in an 07 lifted Lexus GX470 and a 98 GC impreza.....had to sell my fast project toys to have a project business lol.... Dave
