  1. hey guys, I really don't know what is happening! All units are tested before packaging, so if one channel would have been bad I would have seen it! Are you sure that your audio cables are not defective? Are you sure that the 1/8'' jack is fully inserted in the connector of the module?
  2. It should works flawlessly since there is a groupd loop interruptor built into my auxiliairy module. I'm personnally using this: http://store.griffintechnology.com/autopilot

It is less expensive than the PAC unit and uses a standard 3.5mm output jack, so that the wire coming from the aux in module may be used with other devices without the needs of an adaptor.

@96r50: I will ship your order today using Canada Post expedited parcel. Hope you will receive it between Xmas and Jan 1st.

  3. I have no plan on redesigning the aux module. It works really well in it's current state (fourth revision). I prefer to use throughole parts so that I can assemble the module by myself hence having a better quality control.

That being said, there is still sufficient interest in the product to keep it alive again. I will order a new pcb batch and parts, so I should have some units ready within a month.

    Thanks everyone! :)

  4. I will build more unit if I have at least 10 requests since I have to buy all the parts and printed circuit boards again. Please send me an email if you are interested:

    Tks!

  5. do i need to buy the extension cable? or does it come with that as well? i like it!

I was giving the opportunity to buy the audio cable from me when ordering, but I currently do not have any stock on the audio cable. So for now, you'll have to purchase it by yourself.

Choose one that is longer than 6 foot, I would say minimum 8 foot if you wish to route the cable up to the centre console between the seats.

  6. There is enough slack in the aux so you are able to run a line to the hooker you're keeping hostage in your trunk.

 Your hostages are treated well! You let them choose the music!

In fact, 6 foot is too short usually, so the next "size" I found was 10...

By the way, I don't have stock on this cable for now, you will have to buy one by yourself. Remember that it needs to be 3.5mm (1/8'') male headphone connector to connect to the aux in board.

  7. We may have the first defective unit since the beginning. Please contact me (pm or email) and we will arrange for a replacement. But before doing so, please ensure that all your cables are in good working condition.
  8. the canadian postal service is supposed to be back to life today.

@derkahn: You should receive your package soon. I just hope it have left the duty before the Canada Post lock out. IF not, it may take longer to arrive.

  9. Yes, it works perfect with the (iPhone) headphone output with volume at 75%. Maybe the cable is the problem...

Just checked out the Autopilot: do you use the hi or low setting?

low setting. The output level is almost the same as through the headphone at 80% of volume.

  10. @rng: looks like there is too much output level from your cable. I'm personnally using a similar setup with a Griffin Autopilot and I don't have any distortion problem.. Does your unit work fine when used with the headphone output of your ipod?
  11. Yes the unit will also work with the single disc unit.

For the ones that want to have access to a female connector, you may cut the male connector off the audio cable and solder the wires to the female connector. Most audio cable haves a red and white wire, the red is for the right channel and the white is for the left.

  12. snow is right. I highly recommend of using the switch. Should you don't want to make a hole for it, just hide it in the armrest or ashtray.

You might use ipod/iphone connector, however, my unit cannot charge/control ipod. You must use a separate 12V source in the car to charge your ipod. Also, make sure that the audio output of your ipod charger, or of any devices, is headphone style (1/8" stereo male connector), since this is the only audio connector on the aux in module.

  13. Units are back in stock!

All pending orders will ship Monday May 2nd.

Don't hesitate to place an order for a unit since I will be able to ship within two days after I have received the order.
