  1. The shop that built motors 2 and 3 did not do a very good job, and at many times looking back at it now with the knowledge that I currently possess, they had no idea what they were doing. They could assemble the engines fine but had no idea how much different the legacies were from the STi. So those motors popped from leaning out on the dyno and lack of lube. When motor 3 went it spun a bearing. That put bearing materiel through every oil passage. So I got a new block and built motor 4 on my own, I didn't get the turbo clean enough and sent old bearing material through that motor on the first start up. So then I tore it all down and made number 5 with the help of FAT performance in AZ. So I'm still on motor 5 and ifs doing fine but I want to build the monster motor that I've always wanted and that what I've been quietly working on for the last 8 months. I'm still just stock piling parts, since I'm getting married this October. But next October I hope to show off the next set up on my legacy and finally break into the 10s
  2. Well the new motor should hopefully be well over 500whp I don't wanna say what my goal are yet since I'm still in the early stages of gathering parts for the build. All I'll say is it will be a rotated set up and nothing from the current built except my fuel pressure regulator is going to stay with the car. As far as a bbk, I'd like my car to stop, and I have run into issues with the limits of stock calipers and stock size rotors, I do not wish to incriminate my self as to how that happens on streets. But with the new set up I would like to start to track the car more often. Consider the next setup to be like a gtr with a alpha kit: fast yet still retains a/c power seats etc, and you can track it and still drive it to the grocery store if you please.
  3. I have decided that I will be building a new motor (number 6) that will be the motor that hopefully will take me into the 10s or lower. Right now car is running strong with motor number 5 but will be under going new suspention and a big brake kit to help the car with motor 6 and the goal of a 10 second pass. Stay tuned for details motor number 5 will be up for sale at some point
  4. I'm sorry I ended up not making to Georgia due to an issue that I ran into before the tune, I pulled a late night or two to get the bigger turbo, fuel rails, fuel lines, injectors, and header on. When I did that I ended up with an issue with the map sensor and a injector connector, issue was fixed car should hopefully be tuned today.
  5. Need any parts I just took of a 20g 850cc injectors and a borla header
  6. Unfortunately I need a tactix cable, I'm opensource tuned and not accessport tuned. If nothing else I'll just give it hell on 93 oct. But yeah I'll strap on the go pro for a run or two
  7. Just read that whole weight reduction page, I'll be doing some of that stuff tomorrow after the tune is done. I already removed some stuff like fog lights and bumper beam but I do have a heavy front mount
  8. I'll be running my legacy at the 1/2 wannagofast event, would anyone going to it happen to have a tactix cable I can borrow so that I can change from my 93 oct map to the 112 oct?
  9. Not sure on weight I've never put it on a scale, power wise I'm not sure maybe 500whp my current motor probably won't hold much over that and with the old amr I'm not sure it will make over 500. I'll go to a rotated when money permits
  10. No, I work on power generators but some of the prime movers I work on are 4000hp 60l engines and I do have access to different engine calibrations that can make a standard 6.7l put out well over 500hp and still be under our warranty.
  11. Just talked to AMR yesterday. The old turbo is in good shape and should have the rebuild done sometime late this morning then hopefully have it back to me by Friday so I can get going on the install of that and the fueling system and get a tune for the Georgia half mile on 112oct
  12. I just got word yesterday that I will be running my car on Sept 14 at the Wanna go fast Georgia half mile event. I hoping the turbo can get here soon so that I can put it and the fueling system together and get a tune for 93 oct and 113. If I have some money left over I'm gonna try and get some coilovers on before the event and see if i can't break into the 11s again and maybe try a squeeze out a 10.99 but we shall see what happens.
  13. Well the 20g turbo blew... It blew out the oil seals but I caught it very on and the motor seems to be fine so far. The old amr 550 has been sent out for a rebuild from amr should have it back soon. While I replace the turbo I'll install my new fueling setup (1000cc top feed, rails, lines, possibly a bigger pump, and the pressure regulator) I'm toying with the idea of making a map for 113 oct fuel too and I'm trying to buy a Wrx that was flipped and part it our for some more money to put into the legacy.
  14. As far as a cage, I was hoping to go make a lift run or two then go for the sub 11 second run and then just be prepared to leave the track. I'd rather not put a cage in the car since it is a daily driver and some what of a luxury car. But right now the car is getting ready for new suspension (coilovers for stiffer rides and better launches) and then the rotated kit will hopefully be in the budget soon
  15. Working on it. The car has been the official daily for about 4 months now. I got enguaged and money has been going else where. But hopefully by fall I will have ordered a rotated set up and installed it and my newest fueling system. Then by spring time I can attempt to break the 11s
  16. It is a dyno dynamics dyno. I'll post a dyno pic when I get home. Honestly I do t remember which 20g this is. I got it cheap from a shop in az when motor 4 let go and my amr was full of engine bearing material. This turbo was purchased to break in the motor
  17. Finally got the car tuned. It was tuned on the 850cc injectors and the 20g that was used to break the engine in. Car made 350whp on 17psi and 365ftlbs. The 1000cc top feeds, fuel rails, larger lines, and regulator are here but I'm going t wait until I get a bigger turbo than my amr550 to install it all. Going to try and push past 500whp. Then it's off to the drag strip for the hopeful sub 11 second pass
  18. Update just ordered top feed id1000 injectors and fuel rails, bigger turbo is going on the car soon...
  19. I'm running an areomotive fuel pressure regulator. It's adjustable and it also rises on a 1:1 ratio of lbs of boost to lbs of fuel.
  20. That's what I was told when I put in te cxr550 but it fit just fine. I might have to do a little grinding
  21. Long over due for an update. The car is doing well, the motor has over 7000 miles on it. Been working a lot so I haven't had it tuned past the break in map. But since I've been working so much I have started to save and purchase parts for the upgrades I'm about to start on over the next few months. I'm getting a bloush 5.0xtr turbo, new up pipe and external waste gate, id1000 top feed injectors, new tgvs, top feed fuel rails, new larger solid turbo inlet, new larger intake and maf, new catback, and depending on power output possibly a new dual disc clutch and drive shaft. So that being said I'll have some parts for sale soon... Since I've gotten the car back I've redone the brakes and bought some nice sticky tires. Come next fall I'm hopfully going to finally make a sub 11sec pass...
