  1. Id be interested in the Brake cylinder Brace. PM me details on Brand, price and USPS Priority Mail small box shipped price to Kaneohe, HI 96744 Thanks!! Kevin
  2. Has anyone here got a single exit WRX catback on their car with pics? Which brand?
  3. Thanks for the response. Does anyone have actual pictures of where the MAP Sensor is located in the engine bay for me to tee into? It would help me visually when I look under the hood as most threads are just in black in white outlines or not too descriptive. If not, a picture and location of another vacuum line I can tap into for the boost gauge. Im hoping I can knock this install out this weekend since its been bad weather lately and Im getting rain in my garage due to flash flood rainfall. Thanks!
  4. Thank you everyone for the advice and suggestions. I sent an email to my tuner and he replied the next day with the modified protune stage 2 map for my car's mods. I will see if I throw the same code or not in the future to verify if the new protune map will solve the problem.
  5. I installed an invidia Catted Jpipe and had a PDX Protune done about 2 months ago. I ran into a code that occurred 3 times now when driving on the freeway only at around 60-70 mph which was a P0420 code. I have been told by fellow Subaru enthusiasts in my area to replace the front O2 sensor, but read on this forum that it should be the rear sensor. On the 2011 LGT, the O2 sensors are close to each other so I really dont know which should be the one to replace now due to different opinions. Any help appreciated. Kevin
  6. I bought a used 15+ WRX Process West charge pipe as it was a local used part from a Subie group I am in. The turbo section or where BPV attaches fit fine for me and I have a GFB 100% recirv BPV on it. However, what wont work is that the 15+WRX upper pipe is too short in the area near the passenger radiator fan section. The Process West has 2 hard pipe sections. One that connects to the turbo outlet silicone section. The other from that hard pipe to another hard pipe that leads to the TMIC. I found that you would need a long silicone hose or connector to join the 2 hard pipes in order to join the 2 hard pipes in order to clear the area around the coolant hose/passanger radiator fan section. It can be done, but living in Hawaii, I would have to order on ebay/amazon for a 2.5" id silicone hose with the right bends to join the 2 hard pipes together in this section or area. Wouldnt be worth the trouble really for Stage 2 parts and a PDX Cobb protune I have now..
  7. So im looking to install a Defi Racer boost gauge pornably to the steering column. Looked for bg install threads but only caMe across earlier generation installs. Where do you tap in or install the t-fitting for boost pressure on a f25 motor? Is there a closer ir easier option other than the bpv that is way up front of the motor? Also, best and easiest location of grommet to engine bay access from interior. Any pictures would help as a thread i followed had factory boost tap in a diagram that i couldnt figure out by the picture as there was no written imstruction on the location of this vacuum line. Thanks for any help.
  8. 10. Infound a driver side for $140,...he'll throw in the passenger side too but the bottom cushion is cut up. I guess I could source a bottom cushion off ebay
  11. Wish i had known this before i got the earlier model wrx seat,..will 15+ wrx seats fit? Only asking because itll be very raare to find 15+ sti seats for sale used or in junkyards in Hawaii....
  12. Where is it leaking from, the seals on the ps pump? I did a ps leak fix once and replaced the seals and noticed that air got into the system after replacing the seals. I would notice that the ps fluid would bubble up with the car running in the resevoir when i started the car to bleed the fluid when turning the wheel lock to lock. Turns out that the ps hose lines needed replacing as well because over time the hose hardens and develops cracks in them that cause leaks and improper seal at the hose clamp ends. I wasnt able to stop air from getting into the system until i replaced the hoses as well. I opted to not buy the oem hose since it has the preformed bends due to being expensive, and bought oil hoses from my local auto store and cut them to length. Just an fyi if you encounter this problem,,
  13. Its actually been 3 weeks now since doing the fluid change and it still reads at the high level mark with only 3 qts put in. Could jacking up the front of the car up high have anything to do with not draining all of the front diff and trans fluid out on my 11' LGT? Ive done this on my 05' LGT and did not run into this problem of not replacing all the fluid.
  14. I recently did a fluid change front and rear diff for 6mt and the front only took 3 qts. I took a dipstick reading and its already reading at the high mark,..Rear diff took the 1 qt. I did jack the car up from the front, so is this why only 3qts drained out only? I don’t want to overfill the front diff/6 sp. trans, but i did drain the fluid till it stopped dripping. Am I short on trans fluid or do i add the last quart of motul fluid?
  15. I spent another 4 hrs today to get wrx seat to fit a 2011 lgt manual seat base and the rear section of the lgt rails will not bolt up to wrx seat. Lgt rail has a welded capture nut and wrx seat has a welded bolt with a threaded center. Basically i would have to cut the wrx seat rear bolt off and hopefully expose a hole to get it to line up. The front does bolt right up but other problem is if i got rail to bolt to wrx seat, the front adjuster bar to adjust front and rear distance isnt wide enough to reach the sides.. Only other option is to buy an LGT aftermarket base for recaro, bride, etc seats with rail frame and see if that will bolt directly up to wrx seat.. I will post pics soon as im posting this on my ipad and photos are on my phone,. Im beat,..
  16. Can anyone confirm if the airbags in the wrx seat.be used in the legacy? The yellow airbag plug under the seat look the same and looks plug and olay
  17. I didn't take off my wheel and just used a small but bright flashlight (olight s1r) to do the stitching. I just turned my wheel time to time ti make it easier to see and stitch.
  18. End results makes it all worth while,... Plus, ive completed 2 other steering wheels already for my BMWs so I was used to it,... It will take you about 2 hours to complete though depending if you got compulsive behaviour like me or not to get the stitching and whole thing done. It helps to turn the steering wheel when you need to get the correct angles and use the dull needle when seeing so you dont prick yourself as I was provided a sharp needle as well. But its easier than having to do a jpipe swap with stripped nuts or stuck exhaust studs that I just finished last week or trying to figure out how to swap in 11’ wrx seats jnto the LGT,...its all perspective,...
  19. I can do without the electric controls as I find it easier to use the manual slider to get it where I want. Plus, I just float in the oem seat as it is too plush and I need more support. I put the same WRX 08-14' seats in an 05 FXT that I used to own and it was a perfect fit for me. More supportive and comfortable.
  20. I own a BMW and just recently sold my 11' 328i Sport and I had wrapped both of the steering wheels in leather wrap. After recently buying a used 11' LGT, the steering wheel feel had a lot to be desired. It is too thin and slippery and wanted a wheel that was more robust and grabbier.. I decided to check if on Ebay, a leather wrap exists to overlay on top the oem wheel. I found this for outbacks but by the description, it states that it would fit Legacys as well. To ensure fitment after I made the purchase, the seller requested a picture of my steering to confirm fitment, and they did. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-made-PU-Leather-Steering-Wheel-Cover-Stitch-on-Wrap-For-Subaru-Outback/162782008506?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 You can request for what kind of material you want from suede or leather as well as preforated of full leather. You can either request for leather color and color of thread for the stitching. The wrinkles are from the double sided tape, but they eventually smoothed out with in a few days. Below are pictures before and after:
  21. This thread isnt very useful. more of owners posting about is it done or where is the video or post pictures. There is no documentation on a "How to". I ordered a used 2.5i manual seat base from ebay from a junkyard. Hopefully I can just unbolt the seat base and rail and transfer it to the WRX seat and bolt it straight to the LGT. I know the seat base will fit, question is whether the seat base and rail will bolt up directly to the WRX seats and whether the screws or bolts will line up directly.
  22. So i found out today that i cannot just swap seat bases and rails from the lgt to the 08’-14’ wrx seat frame. LGT seat base/rail uses torx nut to a welded nut. The WRX manual seat base has a welded barrel like nut to screw in a torx screw. He crossbars are also removeable with larger sized torx screws that hold it in,.. Ling story short, driver side lgt base is not swappable. Spent 2 1/2 hours to unbolt everything only to put everything together. Driver side front/rear adjustment is messed up n the left side rail since the worm gear wire wasnt seated into the rail right. Gotta redo this another day,.. I think i would need a manual base and slider to bolt to wrx seat, but still Im speculating. Has anyone done a wrx swap with details for both driver and passenger seats. Need to know what parts are needed in detail if: 1.. lgt base manual base and slider is all i need to mount wrx seat 2. Since passenger side is manual, can i use the lgt base/slider with wrx seat?
  23. I couldnt wait for the replies as I had to pickup my daughters from school. So, with 2 studs already out (top left and bottom right), I used the torx socket to take out bottom left stud,.. once it loosened up, it drop right out. The install was not bad, but i did strip a nut yesterday and spent an hour to hour and a half trying to dremel cut pie slices the nut. Only to realize that i had a sears nut remover set in my tool box,..came right off,... Now to download cobb ots stage 2 tune until my protune qt the end of the month. Grimmspeed 3 port solenoid to go in a day or two before my tune,...
