Has anyone ordered and installed this ebay seller gauge overlay? They state they can do any design and match our gauge cluster and warning lights by sending in a picture of our current gauge. Pictures of the sti and prodrive ones look nice. https://ebay.us/nY67L3 I want to replicate the black and red gauge look and feel of the 04-05 sti or even the 05-09 lgt sweeping gauge. The oem gt gauge cluster seems white/blueish at night and it could use the red numbers/lettering over the black background. The oem gauge cluster is already black, so perhaps putting in red led bulbs for the backlighting may be a cheaper and alternate way to get the look im searching for.

I ordered a Dorman off ebay for $370 shipped to my door. Its was much less than buying the carparts ine off amazon for 2x that price. I figure just put in a new one instead of unbolting to inspect since I know that the ujoint is blowing out the lube anyways. Ill get my car on the carjack 5000 to do the perrin steering lock, boomba shift plate and driveshaft all at one crack since im waiting on the parts to arrive... This pandemic is costing me money with the parts and mods im doing....lol

Yes,.. I was able to rewire the connections to from the harness to the radio for a cleaner look and took it to an car audio shop to check polarity using their speaker "pop" tool. They found that one of my rear doors and one of my front tweeters was out of polarity. Once I did the quick rewire to switch them around, all is good. Im ok with the Pioneer, but the display isnt all too great as its to washed out in sunlight as the oem location is high on the dash. I bought a 10/2" Android radio that has an IPS screen and 1400 x (?) so the brightness and clarity will be better for Waze and Google maps. I like that I can add a bunch of apps and run Torque and other items on a much larger screen. I will post pics when I get it in the mail and install it.

So i installed my Invidia N1 catback the other day and when doing so, i noticed black soot on the heat shield above the rear ujoint on the driveshaft. The soot isnt like wet oil, but more like dry powder like looking. I saw videos that ujoints can fail and that Subaru driveshafts arent serviceable. In Youtube, you can diy and press out the bearings or have a machine/driveshaft shop replace the ujoint. It may be better for me to just buy a new non-oem one off Amazon (best option for me in order to save on shipping cost to Hawaii And perhaps labor cost may be like $200). The thick silicone section that will squeeze in between the motor and radiator will be too thick and too short to reach the bov hose section. It could be modded to fit by finding the right silicone diamater size and correct bends and length from the bov section to reach the hard intake pipe to reach the intercooler. It will take some effort and time to source the hose though...

Iguess it all depends on what youre used to on sound. I dont even notice the Q300 on the freeway. I haven't taken the N1 on the freeway yet though. But I am on my 4th Subaru with various exhausts from catless downpipes to Kakimoto To catbacks on a sti to a catless downpipes to stroking dual exhausts on an 05' LGT.

Did you get a tune and what were your numbers with the intercooler installed?

At idle they sound about the same. But as you accelerate and add more gas, the N1 muffler sound is louder and sportier than the Q300. I dont notice the Q300 while cruising around at all, but the N1 is audible all the time when driving. If you have kids or use your car where you worry about your passengers or for work, stick with the Q300. The N1 catback isnt obnoxious, but sportier and the mufflers are maybe <5lbs lighter each too.

A new or used 15+ WRX oem short shifter is much better than the legacy one. Add the Perrin bushing and Boomba shifter plate and you're good to go. Search ebay or forums fir newmor used ones cheap...

I just swapped out my Invidia Q300 and put in a new invidia N1 dual muffler catback. I like the N1 better for the sound and drive experience. It is louder, but not too obnoxious as I have a catted invidia Jpipe up front

^^ I ordered it from Amazon already. Its on android 9, but only because Android 10 has only been released recently and this radio is an early 2020 or late 2019 model I believe. Android radios are much quicker in 2020 compared to 1-2 years ago due to modernized processor and increased ram. Displays can be 1080p but I ordered a 1040 x 440(?) IPS display which will be much better than ost aftermarket radio displays. I do have a pioneer double din with ANdroid auto and apple carplay, but the screen isn't great for a $500+ deck. Its too dim and not visible in sunlight using waze while i drive. I'll try it out and return it if I'm not happy as im going on reviews in youtube. I'm curious to see the advancements in Android decks. Plus a 10.2” screen in your lgt like a Tesla and being able run Torque and other car monitoring apps as well as Youtube, google maps, iheart radio, etc,.,,thatll be awesome!,

Has anyone installed an Android Radio in their Legacy? Ive had a few Eonon android radios before. One in a Mazda Speed 3 and a 2011 bmw e90 328i. I like the features being an android radio with apps like google maps, waze, youtube, etc or being like a tablet. But didnt like the bootup time as it take a minute or so to startup and the screen resolution and brightness at the time. I have a pioneer 4400 double din but screen resolution isnt great for navigation with waze and id like to have apps to mess around with. Since then, screen size and resolution is so much better up to 10” and 13” sizes and ips screens too which are much brighter and higher resolution. Info in your chargepipe.... Is that custom or vendor brand,... Nice verticooler. I read you just need 2 of the perrin intercooler to intake couplers to get it to fit to oem chargepipe.... Did you custom tune after and what were your gains?

Id get the Fortune Auto coilovers with swift springs and call it day. You wont have to eorry about “What if,.l.”....i had HR springs in oem shocks/struts and the FA CO are a marked improvement in handling and control. Adjustment to your stiffness liking,.,,,

Installed Blacked out Headlights from Amazon since my oem ones kept hazing over even after sanding and polishing them. I wanted to get blacked out housings to match my black Rota d rims and them as well. Picture shows Cyber R Big Bulge hood scoop color matched Silver as well.
