  1. Almost every car made by every manufacturer has a plastic sending unit like this. Looks like they need to do a recall of every car made since 1995.
  2. It's a 9-12 year old car. Only a small percentage of cars in the "rust belt" are affected. Good luck with that recall. 3. Modern Subaru transmission failures are fairly rare. In 7 years of building high power rotated kits, none have ever busted their tranny. The 2005 LGT and 2006 WRX started the new 5spd. It has a hardened transmission case.... Subaru thickened the case in the areas this "brace" is supposed to strengthen. 6MT failures are even more rare. There is little benefit from this part.
  4. Anyone try the Fuel Pressure Regulator tricks like the 08+ Impreza guys have been doing for their "stutter" issues?
  5. I'll take that challenge Try Tomioka LCA bushings.
  6. 5250 Performance installed an AWD Dyno a few months ago.
  7. White95Legacy... Your problem is a 20 year old car. Not the same issue this thread is for.
  8. Anyone try the fuel line or fpr modifications the newer wrx's have been doing? http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/fuel-system/subaru-fuel-pressure-regulator-kit-sti-2008-2016
  9. Call 5250. We can offer the option of a 2015wrx rack for the same price as a new oem stock one. 5250 Performance 3987 S. 10. No. That's lame. btw..... Is anyone maintaining this thread or a should a new one be started? A lot of the businesses have moved, changed numbers, or gone out of business.
  11. #465 Boostinroo - Mead, CO It's a garage queen at this point.....
  12. 400 l/h (Available up to 720 l/h) Variable speed controlled by factory ECU Retains factory saddle tank siphon and jet pump Larger surge capacity than stock unit Fuel level and temperature sending units function like stock Sending unit is "drop-in" install http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae227/5250Performance/2014-12-28182322_zpsd53e2814.jpg
  13. First... Delete this spam ^^ 5250 Performance has expanded their shop. They now have 6000 sqft of fabrication and racing goodness. They are Subaru experts above all else and are putting out some really cool custom work. They do general maintenance services on Subarus and a few other makes. Custom stainless steel exhausts, manifolds, turbo kits. Aluminum intercooler piping, intercoolers, tanks and pressure vessels. They also do custom electronics and stereo work. Very tidy and clean work. Most jobs come out looking like they came that way from the factory. *I have a biased opinion of this shop*
  14. Ok, that's a total of 12? The forum (just this one) has 67k members. Let's assume 30k have 05-09 LGT's or OBXT's. Now let's assume 18k of them have 5mt's. Even if you had 100 documented cases of failure of the 5mt, you're looking at a very small percentage. This 5MT failure epidemic appears to affect less than 0.005% of all LGT's.
  15. Show me the broken ones. You keep using this thread as an example, but how many broken ones are actually mentioned in this thread? 8?
  16. The evidence that they are almost as strong as the 6MT is the lack of broken 5MT's.
  17. The 5MT's are not weak. You can argue you this to death, but you're wrong. There aren't the failures to back up this claim. Even if you tripled the count of damaged 5MT's, it's still a very low failure rate. The 02-05 WRX's would fail in stock cars. Those were weak. There are HUNDREDS of reported cases of those failing. The 06+ WRX shares the same transmission, and they aren't complaining about them being weak. I'm trying to stop another internet farce before it becomes forum legend. They simply aren't as weak as you want them to be.
  18. So even if 20 people on the forums had blown trannys..... that's 20 out of 100,000. Sounds like a massive failure rate to me. I'm sorry YOUR car broke. The 5MT is not weak.
  19. What evidence? 10 people on a forum is not evidence.
  20. Go back to your 2wd. There's people with 6MT's that break them at stage 2 and only their grandma drove it. Some are gonna break, yours did. Overall, the 5MT is almost as strong as the 6MT. I learned to drive stick on my 5MT 10 years ago and now it holds 450ftlbs. I was not and have not been nice to my transmission. They're not weak. Not like the 02-05 WRX 5mt and diff.
  21. Learn to launch. It's not a Mustang. (edit: Or a honda) If you're breaking 5MT's that easily you'd just be breaking axles in a 6MT. The 02-05 WRX owners swap in LGT gears as a major upgrade.
  22. I don't think quality and aftermarket sunroof fit in the same sentence.
