anyone had their plastic panel that's on the back of the drivers seat start to come off? looks like it's held on there by clips. I'm not sure why this is happening or how to fix. is this where the air bag deploys?

220k. I rarely have to add oil between oil changes. went 3400 miles on this last without having to do so

today I went in for oil change and tire rotation. mechanic put it up on the lift, turned around for something, turned back.....one of my struts blew. oil all over the ground. 220k. I knew they were going back and needed to be replaced. even started looking at replacements.

funny one. went to a friends house in Pa few years back. my son, daughter and their daughter decided to sleep in their pop up camper they had in their back yard. it was an older one; still in good shape. my son and i slept on one side and my daughter and her friend slept on the other. Middle of the night I wake up to hear the door to the camper opening. it's my son. He says: "Dad......I just woke up on the ground outside the camper" Me: "what were you doing out there?" thinking to myself..how did he get over me without me waking up.(he slept on the inside closest to the edge). later that morning after we were all awake we inspected the camper. turns out the some of the buttons that buttoned the canvas top to the camper frame were broken. He rolled right out of the camper onto the ground. we still laugh about it to this day.

my one complaint i've had with mine is the harshness it's developed over time when I do city driving. I've known it's been in need of replacement....however sometimes I feel like Kramer in that episode when he tried to see how far he could go on a tank of gas:lol:. your suspension is for a wagon? i'd consider....however I'm debating purchasing KYB's.

approaching 220k. everything still running strong....except my suspension. I'm still on stock suspension. it's been fine going over speed bumps, no weird noises, no bouncy bouncy. however when you go over fast, it is of course a little harsh. about 2 years ago I had the front control arms and all the smaller bits replaced at the same time (control arm cracked when they tried to press out the bushing). Last time I was under the car though, it appears those need to be replaced again. I don't think I've replaced the rear endlinks. can't remember doing it. On to my two issues I need input on: 1. when I back my car up out of it's parking space in the morning I occasionally get what I can only describe as a "binding" type occurance with the right front wheel. Kinda like you are backing up over ice and then you hit pavement again. could that be the control arm bushings or end link? 2. this noise I hear when I am turning left from a stop sign/light. don't hear it as much turning right. creaking noises coming from the suspension. sounds like it's mostly coming from the back. stops after the car has made it's turn. Now the other day I was making a right turn and I had to put the pedal to the metal and I heard all sorts of creakyness coming front the rear end. I had planning to start replacing the suspension. My goal is to prioritize what needs replaced first. i'd rather not replace everything at once. My thought is the creaks I'm hearing are coming from my end links in the back and control arm bushings in the front. Am I correct or am I missing something?

bump....just happened to me this morning. on my morning commute I stopped for gas... had turned the engine off and left the radio on while pumping gas. got back in, turned the car on and my radio/climate controls/time display are dark. No control over them. When I turn the igntion to acc1 i get the radio and time, and when I turn it to acc2 i get the radio and climate control. But as soon as I turn the engine on it goes dark, nothing. this has happened before, but when I turn the car off/back on i'd get it back. this time not so lucky. I'm running an aftermarket XM unit in the cubby that's hardwired into the system so it comes on when the car does. it too is not functioning when the engine is on. After a minute or two of the engine running I get an: "Acc" code in the time display area.\ UPDATE: went out for an errand. sitting at a traffic light I heard a "click" from under my dash and everything came back on. only think i did before that happen was mess with my stereo buttons. i was able to eject and load a cd back in. and then within a minute everything came back on.

nothing to see here.....move on.

my 9 yo daughter is working on a school project on holidays. she picks Canada (my moms side is french canadian). so she talks about all the different holidays they observe, and starts decorating her poster board. she draws a cross on it, then an arrow pointing to it and writes: "This is what they hung Jesus on". ah kids......

so if I understand you correctly.....if we have an issue with a vendor on the board you don't want us to bring it up on their vendor thread? If this is the case then you'll need to bring in that "vendor feedback" in sooner then later. especially when you send emails and PM's and get no reply. sometimes the only way to get a response is to post your dismay on their thread. And under the current set up the way to let others know there are issues with a particular vendor, or learn that others are having similiar issues is to post up on the thread.

since I'm ditching my HIDS I think I'm going with this option for lights. sounds like everyone is happy with them

like I said...always honored their warranty whenever I have a problem. lack of communication/delayed responses is frustrating.

so is it disrespecting if I now go over to the vendor thread and post a rant because I've not received a reply back I was promosed to an email I sent at the beginning of this week? and when acknowledged and stated they would send an email yesterday afternoon and I've yet to receive it?

I don't see a problem with b!tching on their vendor thread when they constantly dodge your issues/emails. If I've emailed a vendor several times and PM'ed and they've not replied back logic tells me that if I post my rant on their vendor page it will force a response. Not trying to be malicious....I just want my service in a timely manner!

know of anyone selling a driverside black leather seat? lost my seat heaters last year. no desire to take the seat apart to fix it.
