  1. Calipers are stripped and ready for coating. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161102/860222097a156a456d25859b3d25b6c2.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161102/2be806a3b9b4f8b4e1a4092ebff5d4e8.jpg
  2. Seat is in. Seat belt doesn't fit for shit which makes it nearly impossible to adjust seat position. I will take it out this weekend and bend the seat belt mounting bracket and arm some more.
  3. Well looky what arrived today. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161031/6edbad0043a7cfa0c84895607e3fe0a5.jpg
  4. I expect to have the Recaro Speed by next week. The vendor was expecting to have it this week then they'll ship it out. The sad news is that it will be about a month before the power mods are installed. My friend who has access to a lift dislocated his ankle last week so he's out of commission for about 4 weeks. I find it hard to get motivated enough to spend all day on my back under jack stands -- damn, I must be getting old! I'm going to wait until he can at least hobble around before we get all the fun parts installed. In the mean time I might focus on getting a few things done on the Legacy.
  5. Haha you would love that. But no going with a silver. Should look like these but with red Brembo logos. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161017/e89e0e9719cddb5888d1b78538288a78.jpg
  6. We have a seat bracket and sliders just no seat. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161017/50be13d35ea062b4ba877eb3a3b5c855.jpg
  7. Brembo calipers go to powder coating tomorrow. I hope to get all the power mods on it this coming weekend.
  8. Too bad we couldn't get the power parts on. This car definitely needs an exhaust. My girlfriend of over a year, who knows nothing about cars, commented that the car sounds very different as soon as she got in it the other day. Until then I would have said that she was not the most observant when it came to anything car related. I was actually thinking that there may be a small chance that she wouldn't even notice a new exhaust - ha not a chance!
  9. Nearly all the shifter and driveline mounts and bushings are in. We could only work on it for about 5 hours due to other commitments. For anybody who plans on installing TiC shift linkage bushings you will need their linkage update part. They claim that all 2006+ 5-speed trans do not need the update...not the case on the Baja. Not only is the stock U-joint "not serviceable" but the TiC bushings are too large to fit the U-joint anyway. We used a grinder and punch to separate the U-joint and then welded it back once we realized it was a no go due to bushing size. No power mods were installed today...so sad. Will have to get back to it in a couple of weeks. Shifting is much improved. Everything is firmed up.[emoji106]
  10. Install day. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160923/40698638e67f003b9228d9bdb30ba332.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160923/557a566bfcf34588027410ac9dfe9660.jpg
  11. Just received the base map from Tuning Alliance. We are going to install everything from post #2 on Friday. Less the Brembos, still don't have them back from refurb yet.
  12. Here's the game plan but with a Grimmspeed TMIC and splitter: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/adding-sti-scoop-3rd-gen-hood-pics-221149.html
  13. A hood to play with. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160915/2ce39768b1f25301aaaab20163c7326c.jpg
  14. Ceramic coating is done! Machine work on rear Brembos is done. Hayworth needs to finish up the machine work on fronts then they're off to powder coating before coming back to him for new dust boots, o-rings, etc. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160908/fc400bf8d9fae5bba1a67baed532bbf9.jpg
  15. Changed the oil & filter on the Baja today. Plastic splash shield was MIA so installed a Primitive skid plate after yet another round of broken bolt removal and thread repair. Just enough clearance for a Fumoto F105S. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160905/a854f5f61c1e868d7e3e424fab5cfaa6.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160905/502adb1ca7d1b8ede69a4f07f33813c1.jpg
  16. Rear adapter rotors and brackets, short shifter, and all sorts of driveline bushings and mounts arrived from KNS Brakes. I highly recommend doing business with them. Nick was very helpful getting my order sorted out. I'm getting antsy to install everything. Still waiting on the Brembo refurbishment and ceramic coating on the header.
  17. In the Baja today I noticed a new car maker. Maybe I need to add to the fleet.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160818/92acd15f5fb9310d947977f9e933bf0a.jpg
  18. The Brembos will be at least another two weeks away. The guy repairing them is slammed with travel for track support and he's under the gun to install a Brembo setup on his friend's track car for next weekend. I ordered all the brake parts today from KNS Brakes along with a Kartboy short shifter and various bushings. LGT will get new rotors and pads. I'll swap most of the brake parts from the LGT to the Baja -- DBA T2 front rotors and all pads will transfer over. Unfortunately the rear rotors are not compatible between the two setups so T2 rear adapter rotors will go on the Baja.
