  1. My forever puppy, Kobe. I get a kick out of how he cocks his head to the side every time I ask him what he wants, "Kobe wanna... ?"
  2. SBT, I'm just now reading your post from last month... Sorry to read about your Shiba I can't imagine how I'd feel in your shoes, but I know that it's something immensely difficult. Keep the great memories alive.
  3. I agree. I still look for wagons because seeing his car all the time makes me
  4. I love this SFW subreddit... https://www.reddit.com/r/Justrolledintotheshop/
  5. That engine bay is clean! Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  6. I did, but didn't rotate it more than 1/2 way remember reading about folks breaking this before. I'm thinking that I may have broken something there regardless though.
  7. It it's non-functional right now LED remains lit upon start-up. This wouldn't be anything the steering rack did since the steering rack is all mechanical. I must have tripped something up during the install, fuse, etune setting, or something in the steering wheel/clock spring. Disconnecting the 12v battery did nothing to clear the error.
  8. Just got back home. The steering feels wonderful. Smooth and solid. The turning ratio takes a bit to get used to. I did a few things along with the steering rack so your mileage may vary. - '15 STi Steering rack (purchased a used rack off eBay for $299) - STi steering joint - Whiteline Steering bushing kit - Whiteline roll center kit I do have the VDC light on. Not sure what is causing it to light up. I did pull off my steering wheel to help center the rack, and I also applied a new etune. I'll have to check with the tuner to see if there is a setting that is causing it to light up.
  9. I'm finally getting my car aligned... It only took me 9ish months to complete the install and get it to an alignment shop. Just been so busy, lazy, forgetful... This should have only been a weekend job. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  10. I'd love to get back on a motorcycle. MD/DC/VA drivers are just too crazy to be on the same road with them.
  11. Nice! Does the basement have a private entrance? Is there roof top entrance to build a swaky rooftop deck?
  12. I can't belive that I wasn't already subscribed to this... sub'd
  13. Is there anything that needs to be considered in the steering wheel when recentering it? Can it be spun around as much as possible? Or is there a spring or wires that need to be considered? I ask because I removed the u joint and it's freely spinning now and I'm about to recenter it. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  14. There isn't much room left for adjustments in the tie rod ends to even out the steering wheel with the '15 STi steering rack.
  15. My car is on the road now with a 2015 STi steering rack. I haven't put the car through the paces yet. ABS and VDC light turned on after sitting for a few months at home. ABS is now off after doing a lap around the block, but VDC light stays light. I don't think this has anything to do with the new steering rack. It only was an issue between now and a month ago and what happened between then is the battery died. The only thing left I need to get done to finish the steering rack installed is to get an alignment done and getting the steering wheel straightened. For the life of me I've had the hardest time centering the steering wheel when attaching it to the u-joint. It's off by a notch and I struggled for a few hours removing it and re-inserting it but I can't seem to get it on the right notch. I think I might just take it into a shop and have them straighten the wheel during the alignment... or would it be as simple as me unmounting the steering wheel and reinstalling it to correct the angle?
  16. So for those looking to do this and have the VDC question... I've been reading up on iwsti. from what I've read so far (I've only gotten to page 30 so far) VDC is not an issue. I suggest you read as well and see if this is something you want to do. There are about 76 pages. There are a few other threads on iwsti and nasioc on this too. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspension-handling-stiffening/268436-swap-2015-rack-into-earlier-sti-parts-update-post-1-a.html Around post 168 is where the user has it installed - http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspension-handling-stiffening/268436-swap-2015-rack-into-earlier-sti-parts-update-post-1-a-17.html Around post 230 he has done some driving testing - http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspension-handling-stiffening/268436-swap-2015-rack-into-earlier-sti-parts-update-post-1-a-23.html http://www.iwsti.com/forums/4031860-post293.html
  17. Welps... I pulled the trigger and purchased a 2015 STi Steering rack (34110va120) w/ u joint. I found one on ebay (used) for $299.99. My plans to finish my car have been postponed yet again... for parts.
  18. Anyone done this on a VDC equipped car yet? I planned on replacing some of the PS lines because of corrosion... I might as well replace rack if I'm doing work there anyway........... Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  19. I have a new Craftsman toolbox. I need some stickers to slap all over it.
  20. 10 months old... IMO, let them sleep. The little one is growing and probably needs quite a few nappy naps during the day. Baby life is probably really boring too with nothing to do but roll around on your back, crawl, and eat. If you think it's a problem, consult the pediatrician.
  21. I have a bunch of stuff on Priuschat.com for sale if anyone here/knows someone who wants to make their 3rd gen Prius fancy
