Good thread. Thinking of a VF52 w/stock fueling for a mild upgrade in the future.

 

Already running a rather aggressive stage 2 set up (all the bolt ons, 19 PSI), but have wondered about just adding a VF52 and the appropriate oil lines. And a tune of course.

5EATs are notorious for producing high TQ levels on dynos. I'm no transmission expert, but something about how the torque converter locks up causes the crazy inflated TQ numbers when dynoed.

So I got a ride in a fellow members Hexmods VB (+BnR 16g ) equipped GT today

Oh my gosh it was amazing, my stock trans feels like a case full of jello or pudding compared to Zen's!

The 5EAT should have been like this from the factory! T

The actual shift (1-2, 2-3....) is incredibly quick.

Is the delay from input to actual shift any quicker, I was too excited by the lightning shifts to really pay attention

 

The Holidays can't pass quick enough now, I need to save up and get one for my wagon!

Question, I have stage 2+ 5eat with an e-tune via AP. With my VF40 and racerx Fmic, I had to switch to a 1.00 mm pill to hit target boost and reduce WGDC. I plan on switching to a Process West tmic in the next month or so. Do I need to swap back to the stock 1.2 mm pill? Or will the 1.00 mm pill be ok?

Want to buy: set of OEM springs. Sedan/wagon doesn't really matter to me at this time. I'll pay $20.

 

I have a set of front sedan springs. You can have them for $20 if you come pick them up.

 

BTW, forgot to look for the GT emblem. Will check today.
