  1. We need a cool auto-updating one like http://www.dsmtimes.org That's beyond my expertise though.. Sheesh, the fastest 16g there is in the 9s...
  2. Can we add correction factor in to this?
  3. I second that, I called Dave the next day to run through a few things and he spent a ton of time on the phone and in email with me...
  4. True true, also something to be said about pulling in, making a few pulls, and being out in an hour vs an all-day ordeal... I'll probably come to the dyno day as well, but try to get in on my own before that..
  5. LGT For ME, when are you trying to set that up, I may wait if you are.. 2009 specb, trying to do it Thursday if at all possible...
  6. Wow! Thanks for the tune revision Dave (cryo)... I had cryo revise my infamous tune after I added my ProcessWest... I'm not going to quote any numbers by road dyno until we can get it on the real dyno again, but the difference was dramatic.. cryo was awesome, walking me through each little step and even taking my observations in to consideration.. stay tuned for dyno results...
  7. I had Dave (cryo) take a look at my tune after I added my Process West intercooler. Since my etune with infamous my AVO fuel pump had died and I had the stocker back in. I figured that would be fine since I was on stock injectors anyway. I'm pretty glad I went up to see cryo before doing another road tune with the stock fuel pump in this time as it looks like my stock fuel pump is dying and I was pretty lean. I'm going to throw an Aeromotive 340 in and go back up to see him.
  8. This is awesome, how did I miss it?
  9. It's probably easiest to get it on to the turbo studs first, then loosely bolt it up to the CBE and go tighten it on the turbo... it will be sort of self-explanatory once you get going, but put it on the turbo studs first...
  10. Either mark the strut bolts position (one bolt is oblong to adjust camber) or don't even remove the strut mounts.. You should be able to pull the axle just by disconnecting the endlinks and the A-arm ball joint...
  11. http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/?id=4493 Typical Performance Gains Stage 1: +4.0% HP and +9.0% TQ (see modification requirements) Stage 2: +6.0% HP and +22.0% TQ (see modification requirements) http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/tell-if-your-ecu-has-been-modded-flashedi-new-lgt-145047.html?t=145047&highlight=subaru+ecu+flashed http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/early-engine-failure-08-2-5ti-129284p2.html post #64 and on... search man, search...
  12. I'm lame, I guess it's not so much that I can't, it just looks like a pain in the butt and I am sore from laying on the ground all day yesterday..
  13. Holy crap... swapped my turbo today, also took the uppipe off, and the ported the manifolds... was going to tackle the plugs too, started on them but got terribly frustrated... I feel like paying someone to do them at this point...
  14. So I have a question, Bryan mandates the FP STI oil line now.. have the turbo out, looking at installing that... it says I need to connect it to the AVCS banjo bolt... I don't see any way to easily get to that.. I always thought that was under the timing belt? EDIT: never mind, I'm an idiot, oil line replaced...
  15. And conversely, many "American" cars are made in Mexico and Canada by Mexican and Canadian workers... {shrugs}
  16. I did this on a '98 Outback last night.. I realized you don't even need to mess with the ball joint, you can simply unbolt the shock mount and that gives you enough room to pull the axle out. The spring pin was terrible though, thankfully that's changed on the newer models... Getting it back in was the worst...
  17. Whoa... it is real.... either that are or you extremely bored and just hung a Buick engine in an empty LGT engine bay for fun...
  18. You're either an engineering mastermind or someone pulling our legs.. What's the height of the 3.8 V6 with intake manifold and all? I just don't see how that's going to fit under the Subie hood without some giant cowl or crazy modification to the crossmember, the H4 is so flat and short... Then what about the motor mounts? With the EJ255 they're insanely simple, but how is that going to work with the V6 motor? Not to mention how it will mess with the handling of the car, the Subie motor has a pretty low center of gravity... Subscribed for the fun of it, but I won't believe anything until I see pics...
  19. Ok, this is a really dumb question, are the plugs angled upwards? I know the older Subarus had them exactly horizontal, but in '05 they angled them up? Haven't even attempted to do them yet, just wondering...
  20. If you want to do the boots talk to FredBeans... you want the boot, the bottle of Subaru grease, and the two bands...
  21. The service manual shows the whole ball of wax, ie remove caliper and disc, the tie rod end, unbolt the strut, etc... looks like you didn't have to do that right?
