  1. !!!!!!!!!!!!VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found out the hard way today that the check valve must be built in on the Legacy booster and it is not on the STi. Just go to Napa and purchase a check valve that will fit the hose going to the booster and you should be fine. I havent purchased the check valves yet but will be doing so tomorrow. I was doing a 3rd gear pull at 25psi when I found out about the check valve:)
  2. My motor was out so it was easy to install for me:)
  3. I am running twin Aeromotive Stealths and they are not as loud as one Walbro:)
  4. Just a FYI - I finally got the car running again. OMG what a difference the STi MBC/Booster made on my car. It is night and day. No more mushy brakes or parachute effect for me. Great $60 upgrade:)
  5. Sorry, wasn't trying to be a jerk.....I was just trying to explain the problems I have felt with the brake pedal feel.
  6. If you didnt notice it prior to the Brembo setup you won't notice it afterwards. It is more of a pedal feel. Coming from cars that had great pedal feel and no parachute effect when pressing the brakes is what makes the LGT brake pedal noticeable to me and others. Like I said previously, try driving a WRX, Scion xb, Toyota Corolla, VW Jetta, etc...the pedal feel is much better than what we have in the Legacy.
  7. LOL, Already ran them:lol: I bet that makes you cringe:)
  8. Yes, running twin stealths after the idea of running one in-tank 1500HP Fuel Labs pump fell through. I know it is overkill and I could of gotten away with twin Walbros. From the people that tested the stealth pump has told me, they are quieter than the walbro pumps. I will let you know in a few days how they are.
  9. No, will be back on the road this week or else I am kicking someone in the junk:lol:
  10. I had the HPS pads and swaped them out for the HP+ pads. The problem most of us are talking about happens regardless of temp in the pads. Go drive a car like a Scion xb and then drive your LGT again. The pedal feel and amount of pressure in our cars suck. Our stock brakes are bigger than a standard WRX and on par with a STi but our MBC is smaller than the WRX.
  11. Correct, Hawk HP+ MBC = Master Braks Cylinder
  12. No, the Imprezza and Legacy rear hubs are different. You will need Spec B axles. I think I paid around $600 new for the pair.
  13. The Brake booster is the same between the WRX and STi. The MBC is bigger on the STi.
  14. Sorry, car is running but was waiting on the dual Aeromotive pumps. They finally came in late last week so we should have it on the road this week.
  15. Front Brembo Calipers, Slotted rotors all the way around, SS Brake Lines, Motul Fluid, Hawk HP+ Pads all the way around, and now the MBC/Booster from the STi.
  16. Like I said in the other thread, my car won't be back up and running until later this week. I will report back after my car is running with pedal feel.
  17. Yup. Many WRX owners just swap in the STi MBC. If you want to play it safe just get both pieces from a STi off of ebay like I did.
  18. Just to update this post, you need the booster from a wrx or STi and the MBC from a STi and it will bolt right in. The STi MBC will not bolt onto the Legacy booster. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_yF5oeOgY1lY/TUmX7fh5vPI/AAAAAAAAALA/8fYRn4nFaQc/s640/IMAG0156.jpg
  19. Yeah, you need the 5MT NSS and the 6MT reverse switch.
  20. Are you sure you dont have the harnesses backwards? I had the NSS and Reverse switch backwards and the reverse lights were on when it was in neutral:lol: I didnt know until my wife was following and called me to ask if it was normal for my reverse lights to be on while driving.
  21. What hammerdown said. I drove around for a few weeks witht he wrong NSS in and only got a CEL.
  22. Yeah, I got one from car-parts.com for $100 shipped.
  23. If you are not tracking your car, probably wont miss it that much.
  24. You needed the driveshaft from a 4EAT wagon. I think that was explained in the first post. That is what I used and never had any problems with my 6MT conversion in my wagon. I used the STI Shifter assmebly with a kartboy short shifter without any problems.
