  1. Took about 15 minutes but I had the motor out:)
  2. I used the Group N 6-speed mount on my stock 5mt cross member.
  3. I am using an ACT Extreme PP with the street disk and it hold up fine for me. I made a few passes at 30+ psi without any slippage. My R180 broke before the clutch slipped:(
  4. Drive around with the check valve out if you want that feeling back:)
  5. I used them a long time ago but I actually called to place my order. Have you tried to call them? http://www.trademotion.com/storefront/index.cfm?action=contactus&siteid=214725
  6. I have to agree on check valve and that would still answer your question if you swapped in the Legacy BB because the check valve is built in on the Legacy BB. Did you suck on the line to make sure you have it correctly? The end you can actually suck on is the end that needs to run to the manifold.
  7. Also, did you kink any of the hard lines during the swap?
  8. I dont see why an auto or manual MBC would cause this problem? The MBC just moves fluid and it is mechanically controlled by the pedal. Are you sure you bled the entire system after you replaced everything? Do you have the check valve going the right direction?
  9. Yeah, I used a very small socket driver so I was only pushing on the outside of the check valve. It took me about 5 minutes but I got it in past the first 90 degree on the hose closest to the booster. I didnt feel like going to the store to buy the barbs so that is the only reason why I pushed mine through the hose instead of just cutting and splicing.
  10. It is much worse making a 3rd gear run at ~25 psi of boost coming up to traffic. I think the passenger needed new drawers:lol:
  11. Correct and correct. The check valve is built into the booster on the legacy.
  12. I drove my car for about 3 days without the check valve. Just be very careful when you are coming off boost and pressing the brakes. You will not have brakes for a split second after coming off boost. The pedal will also feel a little weird from not having the check valve. I started inserting the valve on the side of the booster and pushed it passed the first right angle on the straight portion of the hose. Make sure you put it in the correct direction because it would be next to impossible to get it out without cutting the hose.
  13. Looks like it is only $13.77 online at subarupartspro.com I think I paid $18 for mine
  14. all you need is the hose that goes from the booster to the intake manifolf from a wrx or sti. they both have the check valve in them. I will get the part number next week
  15. Looks like rain all weekend so I might not be able to get to run this weekend:( I dont have the part number of the hose on me. I will try and get it this weekend.
  16. No, because the LGT hose is 4X the length as the STi hose. They enter into the Intake manifold in diferent spots. Your choices would be to get the check valve out of the STi hose and inserting it into the Legacy hose or cutiing a section of the STi hose with the check valve and cutting the legacy hose and using a hose connector to connect the two. It makes more now;) I will update my other thread after I run it down the track this weekend. E85 and 1.85 bar on the street = HORRIBLE gas mileage. Should be running 2.2 bar this weekend. I dont think there is anything left stock on my motor other than the outer case halves. Yes I daily drive it or at least drive it 75% of the time but I do have another beater that I drive around as well.
  17. pics of what? I didn't take any pics because it is a pretty straight forward process. Just make sure you put the check valve in the correct direction into the hose. Just keep pinching the STi hose until you find the check valve.
  18. I ended up just cutting the check valve out of the STi/WRX hose and inserting it into the Legacy booster hose. Took about 5 minutes to do with a little bit of lube to force it in the hose. Make sure you use something that is about the same size as the check valve to push it through the hose so you dont damage it. Did a 28 psi pull in 3rd and it stopped like a dream. Ahhhhh...so nice to have reliable brakes without a mushy pedal:)
  19. humm...I get this message "Description: Malformed Server Response Status "
  20. Ok, so Napa does not carry anything that will work. Or at least the guy was not willing to look up part numbers to find one that might work. I ordered the STi brak booster hose from the dealer and it has the check valve in it. Retail on the hose is $18. Will report back tomorrow when I have it in my hands.
  21. I dont see why it wouldn't. The firewall is the same on all 05-09 Legacys.
  22. I got it used but they are different parts completely. One being from a 2002+ Imprezza to one for a newer generation Legacy. Actually running boost into the booster will give you the opposite effect of having the power booster. It actually presses the pedal all the way out and you cannot press it down until it goes back into vacuum.
