  1. Mine seems to be holding up quite well. It see 6k+ shift & 18.5psi of boost, mutable times daily. It will be 10yrs. old in July & as over 272k on the original motor & vf-40 turbo. LGT's gets towing, drag strip & 120 mile commute to work & back duties. IMO, check you oil level often & top as needed. Use whatever oil & filter that will protect for the OCI's your running. OA's is the only way you know that your oil & filter is up for the challenge. 2. Have no clue:spin:what you guys are taking about:rolleyes:. Other then my Pantaic (Had only two part failures in 116k, DS rear speaker at 110k & PS rear shock at 94k). My LGT has been the most reliable car I have owned:cool:.
  3. I'm at 260k+. Still my 3\4 DD & blast to drive after 9.5 years. My 07 roadster gets the other 1\4( Top down weather), at 116k+
  4. Back at post 1788 Maybe this will help. http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4718593&postcount=1788 Mike
  5. ^^^ Or buy the "right" tool for the job. http://www.grimmspeed.com/crank-pulley-removal-tool-subaru/
  6. Easiest way to check oil level. Is to pull your dipstick out about a 1" & loosen your oil fill cap. Come back in a hour or so. Check both sides of the dipstick & use the lowest indicated oil level of the two sides. Why? because the dipstick tube is below oil level. As you drive, the oil slashes around & works it's way up the dipstick tube. Like holding water in a straw with your finger sealing only the top hole. The water/oil is not coming out the straw/tube until you break the seal at the top.
  7. This is way you should check you oil at a min. once a week. When a car is "New to You" or the motor as been replaced or rebuilt. Check you oil level every time you fill the tank. Until you get to know your car.
  8. I reused my 05LGT PS for 100k with my 6MT swap & it worked fine. But switch to a STI PS, because it had less movement.
  9. Yap, I just rolled over a 105k on my Solstice. I had only one failed part. At 94K I replace my rear shocks, do to the rear PS shock was leaking. Not bad GM, not bad at all!!!

  11. Update, waste gate finally it hit the wall. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/0523141311_zps5cf4c281.jpg Sense I'm going to replace it with a VF-52. I decide to see if I can move the waste gate back where it belongs. Success; http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/ae0f2de2-18d4-4fda-a5fc-3c6edc35fb14_zps590d2b61.jpg Tools: -Oxy-Acetylene torch with rosebud or cut torch -hammer -drill with 1/8" & 3/16 bit -3/16"x3/4" new roll pin -Good bench vise Directions; -Remove turbo from car. -Remove turbine (hot side) housing from turbo assy. -Clamp in vise -Drill out roll pin, 1/8" bit (see green arrow). That hold waste gate sleeve place. -Heat turbine housing around the waste sleeve area, until cherry red. -Hit wastes gate arm with hammer (The small arm welded to Waste gate Swing Valve Linkage), why'll the housing is red hot. Until waste gate flap is centered. Note: This mite take a couple heating & beatings to get it done. -Once centered, let housing cool. After it cooled, dill out roll pin hole to 3/16". ( Went with bigger roll pin to catch more of the waste gate sleeve. Sense the smaller roll pin failed to hold waste gate sleeve in place). -Hammer home new roll pin, until flush with surface. Note:Make sure your waste gate moves freely, before reassembly. Disclaimer: Do it at your own risk. I'm replacing my turbo & had nothing to lose. But was successful in re-centering waste gate flapper valve, With no damage to turbine housing & waste gate swing valve linkage.

  15. My Log reads 7.3k & change, when the Rev. limiter kicks in. Tac. reads 7.5K:spin:.
  16. oops!!!!! miss type, your right. 75w-90
  17. I run Amsoil Server Gear 75w/90 gear oil. But If it's time to change rear diff. gear oil, isn't it time to do the 6MT.
  18. DCCD Pro install in one post. I ran the wires thru a hole I drilled in front of the mental shifter boot ring. See pics. & green arrows. I did it this way so I didn't have to install a quick disconnect to the DCCD wires. So they can be unhooked when you have to remove shifter assy. If you wanted to run the wire thru the shiftier inter boot. Blue = TPS: (Download appropriate Subaru ECM Schem atic from website) Cable throttle = “B135 pin B7” Drive by wire <2006MY = “B136 pin B18” Drive by wire 2006MY+ = “B134 pin B18” Pin location link below. http://dccdpro.com/main/wp-content/downloads/TPS%20dbw.pdf
  19. I put the pics. in order of connection from Power tap to ECU. Autozone as a 10a mini piggy back fuse set up. Just plug it in to the fuse port for the 12v accessory out let. Run wire to the DCCD controller that seat so nicely on top of the Air bag control unit. I used 3M 2 sided tape & a long zip tie. JB weld G sensor in place. Run TPS wire to ECU under passanger side floor panel. Why'll I was there. I hooked up a switch to my test wire connector. So I don't have to dig them out every time I use my APv2. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/th_0909071710_edited.jpghttp://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/th_0909071708a.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/th_0909071712a.jpghttp://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/th_0909071712.jpg 2nd row of pics.
