  1. 95-99 green outback wagon (sometimes sport) is the VT state car for sure and if you didn't know, they are all governed at exactly 10mph below the speed limit, it is truly amazing
  2. good to know, thanks for the info. for me tho, i'm trying to have all the parts on hand to reduce the actual down time of the car. if I run into problems it is good to know there is another option.
  3. o righto. drinking + research = sloppy. my bad
  4. yea, working on sourcing the 2.5i shaft now. I have access to an older leggy 4EAT driveshaft, but am not sure if it fits. zorro, can you measure your 2.5i driveshaft overall length at some point please so I can see if the 4EAT one fits. thanks for all your help guys!
  5. i heard rumors that a 4EAT driveshaft will fit (believe this is from an older legacy), is there any confirmation on this. I can get one extremely cheap right now if it fits If not, oh well
  6. thats a secret for now until i get my package delivered thanks for the help guys. i havent paid for everything yet, so i just edited my list to the vendor (good, cheaper!). out of curiousity, what dccd controllers did you guys go with? and i ordered my new spec 3+ clutch today before spec goes on vacation
  7. its just tuning the stock computer, has worked beautifully on my car thus far and i'm making a few horsepowerzz mike now of tuning alliance tunes in the NE area (sterling mass on the dyno, or over the internet if you buy a tactrix cable $90)
  8. deposit placed today for the following 2004 USDM STI 6sp transmission with shift linkage and knob 2004 STI Flywheel 2004 STI Slave Clutch Cylinder 2004 STI Starter 2004 STI Clutch Fork 2004 STI Front Axles (2) 2004 STI R180 Rear Differential 2004 STI Rear Axles (2) OR 2006 USDM STI 6sp transmission with shift linkage and knob 2006 STI Flywheel 2006 STI Slave Clutch Cylinder 2006 STI Starter 2006 STI Clutch Fork 2006 STI Front Axles I should know mid next week which package I'm getting as they haven't bought the donor car yet I have until about 10am tomorrow to make a decision if I want to buy a 6MT SPEC 3+ clutch since SPEC will be going on vacation first week in July and isn't accepting orders (from vendors too) after tomorrow. Pretty sure this is what I'm going to get as I've been happy with my 3+ for the LGT for about 25,000 miles thus far I'll be talking with my local shop tomorrow to see if they have a 2.5i donor driveshaft for me. I heard that a 4EAT driveshaft will work as well, though I'm not sure from what years. I found one for $50, just need to verify what years work here. I know I'll need to get stubs, circlips and seals as well as fluid and hopefully that will cover nearly everything besides a dccd controller will keep you all informed of my progress as well, probably wont go in until july unless i get too eager
  9. don't get an AP, get an open source tune more money to spend on other mods
  10. ^^ I've tried going to the track the last 3 times they were open, just hasnt worked out yet, mostly due to uncooperating weather, but I really want him to see what hes up against
  11. on the first part, and whhaaaaaaat on the second part, i cannot imagine that at that place, tho i heard it got a pave job too...niiiice
  12. borla unequal length headers swaintech coated and wrapped, custom dp with ewg wastegate plumbed back in, and megan racing exhaust. headers now make it sound raspy and shiity, i don't like, but o well, too late now i was going to go to napierville last tuesday, but alas there was a hurricane. i may be going up this week sometime, i'm not sure i can contain myself anymore, i need to get to the track, just need to get the LC/FFS in place first
  13. I figured my car had a big enough dick the ladies would flock but apparently not in this barren land
  14. i'll be going to napierville shortly, was going to go last night, the severe tstorms killed that though i didnt say anything about my setup or brag about how much i make, just said i didnt like the kid and that i'm pretty well versed in the dyno and how my car works since i've done all the work on it myself. don't matter what you got in your garage, or under your bed in your room, matters whats in your car so put your $40/hr mouth where your real money is and get ur stuff together before you talk smack, cuz a turboback, intake and co2 sprayer aint gonna cut it kid. nuff said. back on topic, saw a cutie in a blue lgt today in s. burlington, us vt'ers need to get some of these ladies out to the meets and not the taken ones mmk guys, i'm tired of seeing your gfs
  15. ya you, you come on like 6, 7 months ago and talk all this big game yet you still have a stock car (wouldn't be a problem cept you flap your gums). don't talk like you know all this stuff until you got something to prove for it. i've rebuilt my car from the ground up and did the labor and fabrication myself yet i'm not rubbing that in people's faces, that is the kind of difference between you and i. i could care less that you know different dyno's read differently. between my car and my roommates, not to mention the sports car club i founded i've been to at least 6 different dynos in new england/new york, i think i understand the concept pretty well of how a dyno works. my car alone probably has more than 100 dyno pulls on it, on 5 separate occasions, 4 of those sessions on the same dyno, different seasons of the year, with different weather each time, so i understand the individual factor the weather has as well. you have no clue about my car but yet you chime in. its not that you're "right" about different dynos reading differently, or the weather having an impact, everybody but vimy knows that . that is all.
  16. ^^ this is why i don't like this guy. you have no idea/clue whatsoever, yet there's your $0.02. mustang dyno, 100 degree temps with 126 degree intake temps. it was a bit hot and humid to say the least
  17. ESP by mike. decently place, nice dyno, bad numbers
  18. ^^what he said we hauled home, but not that fast :-p fun trip Lincoln, tho our cars kinda sucked out, the track will prove our work i feel when this heat dies some. get them vids up for mike!
  19. somewhere in mass, i forget. mike formerly from TDC, and maybe $350 now? He's just a tuner and works outta a shop, or does road tunes or w/e. how did your clutch blow up?
  20. sure thing, you can do my lip, i'll do ur prodrive saw coocoo today on 2A and some one else in a blackish (rbs grill) lgt, exchanged waves, anyone on here?
  21. allows the wastegate and boost control solenoid to react more quickly to each other. therefore the car is a lot smoother now. if the solenoid makes wastegate adjustments it doesn't take as long for the wastegate to react because there is less vacuum line to fill so the bcs can then react to its own decisions kinda thing saw LMVT's car getting some hmm...touch up work...tonight i had to weld my maf plate onto my IC tube since it blew off on the way to work this morning, that was interesting
  22. 10-4. i just redid mine, removed 3' of hose probably between the ewg and prodrive, what a difference, should have done that 6 months ago
  23. prob from mike again, he knows the car the best and works w/ open source. it would take other people a while to learn all the tweaks so its just easier to go to him, he knows how to make her scream
  24. lol, took it off to play around w/ the aquamist some and finish installing the dual pump setup, should be back on later tonight spent an exhausting day with richard from aquamist on the phone for a while (best customer service hands down) trouble shooting why the aquamist wasn't spraying (couple wires slightly melted together under some shrink tubing ) and then finally installing my swaintech coated, wrapped borla header...which didn't fit of course. at any rate i'll be terrorizing some of your masser's soon enough, prob within a month, since i'll be getting my tune for the meth again...finally. can't wait to get back on the juice, car is just so boring other wise
