What turbo? wiki... with a twist
dr_sharp replied to fahr_side's topic in Turbo Powertrains (2.0GT, 2.5GT, 2.5XT)
Excellent thread, that info is spot on. I'd suggest adding the Avo line of turbos. -
Hahaha... gonna have to try that one.

A mother and father took their 6-year-old son to the nude beach. As the boy walked along the beach, he noticed that some of the ladies had breasts bigger than his mother's, and asked her why. She told her son, "The bigger they are, the dumber the person is." The boy, pleased with the answer, goes to play in the ocean but returns to tell his mother that many of the men have larger penises than his dad. His mother replied, "The bigger they are, the dumber the person is." Again satisfied with his answer, the boy returns to the ocean to play. Shortly after, the boy returned again. He told his mother, "Daddy is talking to the dumbest girl on the beach and the longer he talks, the dumber he gets."

I'm not gonna argue with you man, you're probably the only LGT running a bored engine on stock turbo so there's no real "data" to say what kind of power you "should" be putting down. But none of your claims have really been supported by evidence. If you really did put down those numbers on a stock turbo, then I applaud you. But most of us know what the VF40/46 is capable of up top and that knowledge does not support the claim of a 108mph trap speed. That's the end of my arguement. In the end, if you did, you know it, and that's all that matters. Thanks for the link... regardless of numbers, your car is solid.

I've never heard that before, but its an interesting point. Makes me temped to try slots, I get pretty bad deposits from my driving and I really dislike the re-bed-in procedure b/c I feel like I'm just wasting pad by using it to heat the rotor high enough to remove the deposits.

Door speakers can be put inside of sealed baffles, but depending on speaker size it may be difficult to fit. The alternative is to seal around the perimeter of the speaker and be sure the whole door has a layer of MLV... this would be considered infinite baffle and is pretty common. Speakers are designed to function in an infinite baffle. Subwoofers, on the other hand, usually not.

Is it necessary to bleed when swapping pads and rotors or just recommended? I have my 90k coming up in about 10k miles. Would rather not attempt bleeding myself.

Not sure about the SC-C1. I believe that you could get either Sirius or XM on the model years that had the P204UH. Its just a matter of having the correct connector. If you search a few of the radio threads, you'll see the connector.
-
The P204UH comes ready for sat radio from the factory.

I think you missed a decimal. You're not going to throw 10x the power without overheating. Or you're only turning the volume up to 10% of max. Numbers don't lie, but people do.
