  1. Coco26 Did the Tyc lights come with bulbs? If so, were they h11 bulbs?
  2. 2010 Lgt Lt. Looking to Led the fogs. Found a posting in Lgt that the Ford oem fog lights (# FR3Z-15200-A) bolt right in to the 5th gen Legacy (they are plug and play with our wiring). They give much more and better light. They are about $203/pr. There are aftermarket copies claiming to be identical to the Ford oem ones. They are about $135/pr. Reel electric seems to be the dominant after market variety. Are they as good and long lasting as the Ford product?
  3. Searched the internet and the best price for ea one is about $103. There are after market ones, such as reel electrical that are supposed to be identical to oem. Has anybody purchased any after market ones and what is their opinion? Aftermarket or only the oem ones are good? Thanks
  4. Sorry. The cost of product liability insurance will prevent me from offering the mounts. This would be a low demand product. The cost of the insurance would not make sense with the potential limited number of sales.
  5. Kudos to MCG. He hit it on the head. Low volume item and the fab cost is high. There is no prospect of any kind of high volume production. There were less than 2,000 of these cars made. How many are left? How many owners are going to be interested in installing an STI trans? I have had my 2010 Legacy GT Ltd for about 5 years. The car is generating almost 400 brake hp and is a daily driver. The car was perfect except for the junk excuse for a sound system (upgraded), the stupid electric brake (stuck with that) and the c----y cable shifter and oem trans. The clunky shifting was horrible. That is now fixed beautifully with the STI trans and shifter. The car is perfect short of the e brake. Minor deficiency. This is now the car that Subaru should have built. My wife keeps telling me to buy a new car. My response is "why". I love my car. It does everything I want it to. The STI trans was the single biggest item that changed the character of the vehicle. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
  6. They will be $800 shipped to the continental U.S. Just waiting for the insurance agent to get back to the seller re: coverage.
  7. The engine mounts were custom made. Waiting for a price. They will be offered for sale.
  8. I am driving the car. Trans works well. Ratio's are different than the oem GT trans. I am waiting for a quote on the mounts.
  9. Here is the message that I missed from the shop. We used the rear diff from an 04 wrx we had at the shop, it was going to be the 2010 legacy rear end and change the transfer gears since the 3.90 rear diff is more available.
  10. Just found out that the shop had sent me an updated message a while back correcting the diff identification. I did not get the update. They are re-sending the info for the diff used.
  11. I forwarded the posting to the shop, if they have any comments.
  12. The shop that did the conversion is TDC, Top Dead Center Motorsports in Bradenton, FL. jttdcmotorsports@gmail.com
  13. Sorry. It was a 2010 legacy cvt for the driveshaft and rear.
  14. Sorry. Could not find original thread. If this answers the ????. The rear came from a 2010 cvt equipped legacy. My car feels a lot peppier with the new trans and rear.
  15. Just got this from the shop: Clutch: Comp Cluitch 04-11 Subaru STI 2.5L T Stage 3-15030-2250 Flywheel: Comp Clutch 04-11 Subaru STI 15 lb Steel Flywheel-2-721-ST Bushing Kit: Torque solution Complete shifter Bushing Combo Kit 06-14 Subaru STI tqs TS-SU-708 Shifter Surround: Unknown yr but bel=eve to be from 07 jdm forester sti Clutch Fork Pivot: it is a factory part, it's what goes in the 15 STI trans.
  16. I am only quoting what the shop told me. Please make your question clearer and I will try and get you an answer.
  17. The following off the shelf parts were also used:Flywheel (we chose a lite weight one),Bushing kit, Shifter surround and a clutch fork pivot.
  18. Here are the parts used. Other than the custom motor mounts everything else was stock. 2015 STI 6 spd, 2010 LGT N/A automatic drive shaft and rear end, 2012 STI shifter section with STI shifter plate custom fit, clutch is for the 15 STI trans and has the correct slave and clutch line. Looking into offering the custom motor mounts. Will post soon with the price.
  19. Waiting for the completed job from my shop. They specialize in Subaru and other turbo cars. They figured out all the details for the swap. Waiting for the car to be finished and they will be giving me a list of the years and components that they used for the swap. At this point I have the following details: 2010 Lgt mt, 2015 Sti mt. R160 from an automatic subie (yr?). I will share all the details when I get them.
  20. Just about to complete the installation of an STI 6 speed into my 2010 LGT mt. Had custom engine mounts created to handle the conversion to the STI 6 speed. No custom parts other than the mounts. The rest of the parts came from different yr and model Subaru's. Checking to see how much interest would be there if I offered these mounts for sale.
  21. repainted the plastic ones. replacement ones are ridiculously priced and the paint will wear off in time.
  22. No photo as trans is still in the car.138k miles. Works fine except for 4th gear grind. Trans still in car till the shop removes it week of 9/23/19. I will take photo and post once trans is out of the car. A photo of it in the car does not show much. Car is in Bradenton, FL. $500 for the trans. Cable and shifter available.
  23. 2010 lgt 6mt. 138,000 miles. Fluid is redline/mogul cocktail. Great shape except for the 4th gear synchro is weak. Shifts ok when done as an easy shift, slight grind when fast shifting. What is it worth? I am in Osprey, FL. Thanks.
