  1. Its a 12mm and you need at least a 6"extension ( 9-12 would be better) to reach down. Note the orientation of the plug wire. Put new in the same way. O.
  2. Correct. The wagon sways are bent to clear the spare tire area. O.
  3. The only caveat is that a sedan rear will not fit a wagon rear. IIRC the Tribeca rears would fit also, but they are 27mm, so unless you upped the front you would have massive oversteer. O.
  4. No , tracing back to the O2 sensor. Factory was a triangular gray plug. It seems that at some point the O2 was changed and a generic plug was attached to both ends. It was a cheaper alternative to factory ends. O.
  5. On the 96, the gray triangular plug was the 1st. Trace the wires, easy to do. O.
  6. The GT bars will fit the I, but not the other way around. GT bars are cut to miss the turbo crossmember. O.
  7. If the rear main is not spewing oil, leave it. Watch how the spring clips go off and on, on the TO bearing. Make sure you DO NOT get a fluid with limited slip ingredients.. O.
  8. If I had the right parts, I'd trade for that GT6...…..lol It was my very first car, BRG of course. O.
  9. Once the helicoil is in, its the same as any other spark plug hole. O.
  10. To helicoil it is not hard, it's just access that you need. All depends on which plug. Once you get the kit, you have to turn it by hand. When drilling the hole use axle grease or something similar. This will catch any chips as you cut. As a precaution you can use a small vacuum hose afterwards. Follow instructions for setting the correct insert. Put anti seize on the spark plug before install. If you have an inch pound torque wrench to use, go for it. Don't know the actual foot pounds Remember 12 in is 1 foot!!! Have been installing plugs for over 50 years and have never used a torque wrench and never had one leak. O.
  11. Try, using downward pressure on the plug and turn CCW until you feel it pass the first thread, then maintaining pressure turn it CW and see if it catches. O.
  12. ^ +1. Forgot that I was in 4th gen and missed the 16" wheels. Meant to say aspect ratio, as I run 225/45/17 for summer and 16's for winter but I don't have an lgt. O.
  13. Try this site. http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp I think they are too wide.. O.
  14. The caliper bolts are 14 but IIRC the bracket bolts are 17 or am I thinking of a different year. O.
  15. From rules etc..... Notice: Due to increasing new member registrations and issues with members not following the rules in the marketplace, restrictions have been added that require new members to be registered for 30 days and to have 15 contributory posts before they can access the marketplace. O.
  16. With the money and time used in getting this to work and you already have a Rex etc, why bother? O.
  17. The evolution of the brand. The Outback was originally just a trim level then became it's own model. Available as both sedan and wagon. Then the Impreza had an Outback model, hence why Legacy Outback was used to differentiate from the Impreza model. See cars 101.com for full details. O.
  18. 2000-2004 Legacy Sedan and wagon in front are the same. O.
  19. Set of 4 BNIB KYB struts for Outback 96-99. Local pickup only $150 Cant seem to add pics. Can probably send in PM
  20. As a single cam yes, but with dohc cams on the block it isn't. O.
