Finished hooking up engine wires..... Except for this crimp on connector that was connected to a hood pin switch on the other end. I'm 90% sure this is for a remote starter, but why would there be a crimp connector in the engine bay. It's my understanding that the hood switch should run directly to brain and ground (disable) starter when hood is open. I didn't see any cut wires in engine bay.

Played around with some expanded metal for my grill. Pealed off as much of that bubbling chrome trim as needed. I will fill and smooth out that lip near the bottom before painting it all black. The plan is to weld a couple thin brackets for the badge to mount on. It should look like it's floating. Badge will have the blue background wetsanded off and replaced with a metallic red.

Started removing the rest of engine bay rubber fuel lines. That bottom quick release fitting is a pain to get to unclip. Interesting how Subaru thought this clip was required here, but ~4" away they started with the parade of hose clamps that leak vapours every winter. After 20min I finally got it off and installed Redhorse Performance AN-6 adapter with locking nut.

Changed the cabin air filter. WTH were they thinking when they planned this. Pretty much remove half the dashboard At least I shouldn't ever have cigarette butts or leaves packed in there ever again since I bonded stainless mesh over the opening under the cowl. Installed an inline check valve in my brake booster line next to the STi booster.

Test fitted a-pillar dual gauge pod. Secured all wires/silicone hose behind dash. Found this wire running up pillar and under headliner. It comes out beside mirror. The mirror wasn't installed on car when I bought it. Anyone recognize what this wire is for? Aftermarket Dash/backup cam/radar detector I'm assuming?

Installed agency power billet pitch stop. Made a mount for AFPR. Pulled the TGV's again and ground off as much of the extra crap on the ends to make more room for the new fuel lines. Put new seals on injectors and installed the fuel rails. I'm pretty sure I have the parallel fuel line layout figured out.

I'm definitely going to need a new windshield before I get this thing on the road. Took the hood latch off the car and cleaned 350,000kms of gunk out of it. Looks/moves like new. Cut up the oem transmission cooler rubber hoses, and finished my aftermarket cooler install. I'm going to add another bracket from on passenger side from hood latch to cooler to make it a bit stiffer. Started wet sanding some of the road rash out of the foglight lenses. Picked up some transparent red glass paint for them.

I was a bit worried my LED's weren't bright enough. I wanted it to look like the car was on fire, since I'm calling this the Devil's wagon. These look insane. Also polished the headlights. I thought they were siliver on the inside because they had so much road rash. Once I looked closer, I noticed they are already black. I wanted to get rid of the amber corners, but on my test one noticed you will have visible holes where they clip in. Good enough. Ran twist-lok hose from the transmission oil filter to my thermostat, and then back to the return line on trans. Just need to connect the 2 lines from thermostat to cooler and that is done.

Mounted thermostat for trans cooler and cooler itself. Riveted the bracket I made to the back of the crash bumper, with a large ziptie as a backup. I cut into the middle channel of the crash bumper for easy routing of the coolant lines. Lines will run directly off the trans filter through the side of the crash bumper, and out in front of the a/c condenser. Picked up a spare headlight to test blacking them out while I have everything ripped apart. Also picked up some foglight picktails, so I can splice in some red LED accent lighting behind the front grill.

Played around with mounting dual catch cans. These are 1L cans, so they are pretty HUGE. This is what I came up with. The wiring harness connector is moved forward/in ~1/2" and the oem mounting bracket bolts to the new bracket. Ball valves are accessible from the bottom of the car. I was going to try to make a heat shield, but there isn't much room left. It's ready for wrinkle black powder coat. I also urethaned in a piece of stainless mesh over the outside air intake. This should keep leaves/cigarette butts out of there.

Painted downpipe with VHT Flameproof paint, wrapped it in DEI Titanium lava exhaust wrap, and then sealed it with DEI Hi-temp Silicone coating. The carbon weave look was nice, but this is a daily driver that will see snow/rain so I want to try and keep moisture out of the wrap. I wrapped it all the way till it cleared the transmission. Played around with the translucent red powder coat again. Alternator cover bracket (I think) I don't actually have a cover. You can't just let the part cool after applying the chrome basecoat. The powder just won't stick without exposed metal, so I had to hot flock the part again. My first attempt I put too much red on, which covered up the reflective chrome underneath. Very light coat of red until it starts to look like red, instead of pink. The camera doesn't do this color justice, but I think this will work as accents with the Garnet red pearl.
