Max Capacity
FWIW, My trusted mechanic just charged me under $60.00 to flush my brake system. Why would you want to spend more for the power bleeder, plus do all the labor. Brakes feel great. Granted the flush was part of a much bigger job. But that's how it was broken out on the bill. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Moderators BarManBean Posted August 16, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 16, 2013 FWIW, My trusted mechanic just charged me under $60.00 to flush my brake system. Why would you want to spend more for the power bleeder, plus do all the labor. Brakes feel great. Granted the flush was part of a much bigger job. But that's how it was broken out on the bill. Because a flush anywhere else or buy itself would cost more. Because not everyone has a trusted mechanic. Because not everyone has a mechanic that cuts them deals because they've been building race cars for 30 years. Because buying a motive bleeder and a litre of ATE superblue is cheaper than a normal brake flush where I live and will use better fluid (and subsequent flushes will only cost as much as you spend on brake fluid).
