Dont mean to hijack but what are peoples settings on the koni yellow with your set up, mine can be jaring over pot holes.

I just re-set mine to full hard in the front, and approximately halfway in the back. I might tone down the front a bit for daily driving. We don't have a lot of potholes down here, though -- just manhole covers and storm drains.

There is a certain range of shaft speed in compression that the Koni doesn't deal with well, compared to the rest of the damping range. The result is that certain square-edged bumps are much harsher than you expect, given that the overall feel is very plush. Not really a lot you can do about that.

Obligatory 'build thread' Increased capacity to 2.7 liters, still turbo, but no longer need spark plugs.

Got my Epic spring from Mike at Infamous Performance and the Yellows from tunersports.com

Cant wait to put them on but I first must order some strut mounts because I don't feel like taking everything apart again. Better have piece of mind.

Anyone know a good place to order them from? From what I read looks like the ones on ebay and some on line parts store don't fit right and/or wear out quickly.

Did the rears on this past week and I did the fronts today. WOW. It rides amazing. No more clunking from the blown front left shock.

For the guys with the yellows...how stiff do you have them set for the street?

I set the front camber bolts as fast as negative as possible but I would like to get a bit more out of it. Any suggestions?

What are your alignment settings? What other mods do you have? Roll Center Kit?

If you go too negative you'll end up wearing your tires prematurely.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I don't know what the alignment setting are since I just installed the epic springs and koni yellows this past weekend. I did set the front camber as far in as it can go. From what I've read on here the stock camber bolt will give around 1.5 degrees of negative camber. I would like to run a bit more but its not the end of the world.

I'm not worried about the tires. I ran way more than 2 degrees of negative camber on all my other cars with no tires issues. However the TOE was always 0.

No other suspension mods besides running some 17x8 +38mm offset rims

with 245/40-17 tires.

In the future I would like to add a rear sway bar but for now I'm pretty happy on how the car drives with the new suspension and new mounts all around.

Finally got some time off from work and had a chance to do some work on the car. Got the yellows and epic springs installed. Did everything in my driveway, fairly easy, took about 5 hours for the complete install.

Drove around with the stock rims and tires for a week or so for everything to seat properly then I put on the new Rota rims and took it for an alignment.

Had the TOE set to 0 all the way around, front camber is at -1.7* and rear is at -.5*

Took advantage of the long weekend (even though it only took less than 2 hours) and decided to put on the new rear sway bar along with some goodies.

*WhiteLine 20mm rear sway bar

*KartBoy end links

*AVO Rear Stabilizer Mount Brace

Huge improvement in how the car drives, feels and handles. It really complements the yellows and epic springs.

The car rides and handles nice but its not a track car. Its my daily driver with a an automatic transmission and NA engine. Thanks for the invite though.

Gotcha, although this event has nothing to do with the capabilities of the car. It actually has more to do with learning to drive whatever car we have better and harder. It is the "nut behind the wheel" mod so to speak.

My first race car was a 1996 Impreza L with a 4EAT trans and it was a blast! :)

I understand. I've been autoxing with almost every car I owned since back in the late 90's.

Started with my 93 civic, 91 eclipse gsx, 91 galant vr4, then the 04 audi s4. I thought about autoxing the legacy if there's an event closer to me like at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island. Not really willing to drive to jersey even though the thought of driving on a track sounds great compared to a parking lot with cones.

Yeah it is a bit of a hike understandably. :)

We Auto-xed back in the late 90s early 2000s at Nassau Col in our Subies and Hondas as well. Probably know a lot of the same people. :)
