Don't rush the process, it's easy to wait to let the adhesive soften (at a lower temperature), it's not easy to replace cracked/splintered lenses (at a higher temperature). I've been doing this for years on many different types of headlights. Some sealed with permaseal even. I've never had an issue and I've done near 20 sets.
