4mcrue
These are dual DNX, 12" mufflers with adjustable tips. I had them remove the resonater, and put 2.5" in place, back to a y, and then 2.25" to the mufflers. It is loud and sounds so good, twice as loud as my 2.5RS with a 14" magnaflow. I already got 3 compliments on it. Here you go: Oh, probably have $570 into it total: http://tinypic.com/97uxxv.jpg http://tinypic.com/97uyq9.jpg http://tinypic.com/97uyw6.jpg

inthedeck
So this is just the cans, and the piping to the y-pipe? Not a catback? Is the piping mandrel bent? Looks good...and sure it sounds pretty nice as well. Maybe should get a tune done, and watch the EGT's! Good luck.

4mcrue
it's a custom cat-back, 2.5" and then to 2.25" and cans It sounds really good, I think So, 2.5 after the cat, back until the y. Does that answer your question? Should I worry about temps???
inthedeck
Since it's only a cat-back...I wouldn't worry about temps. too much. It's once you start modding the other portions of the exhaust that that may become an issue. Is the piping mandrel bent? Just curious, is all? since it's better if it is... 4mcrue
No, no mandrel bent, you can see that by the pics. But still way bigger than stock A tune/tires/wheels/intake are next Just need more money!!!
inthedeck
save the money on the intake...not worth it, depending on the tune. Get a rear sway bar instead -- definately a better option.
4mcrue
Thanks for the advice, I love the sound, the Boxer really comes alive with my system. LOUD, I think, but not buzzy, had lots of tone to it, no popping either.
mkalbarc
get rid of that god damn ressler sticker & plate! other then that, looks good!

SBT
Wow! Even on wideband the pics didn't want to load at all. When they did however, the exhaust looks good. I'll bet it's loud but probably not harsh or brassy. Any sound clips? SBT - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
TSiWRX
Would you mind backing out a little farther away from the car, and then taking a pic that showed both tips in-situ? I'm (as you'll see below) contemplating going this route, but am not 100% certain that I'd like the aesthetics - so far, your setup looks great, but I'd like a dead-on rear-end shot as well as a shot from, say, eye-level (also dead-on rear), just to be sure that i like what I see. Also, I noticed that these are equipped with the silencers - I think that I may have to go with something like this due to the wifey being sensitive to noise - how closely does the sound level drop off to "stock" with silencers in-place? Thanks! -A <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
rallispec
they look alright --- i wish the cans didnt stick out so far behind the rear edge of the car though. I also wouldnt recommend a new intake, but if you want even more engine noise I would recommend a new Intake air filter... (Blitz / avo / perrin all make good ones)
4mcrue
couple of more pics, if anyone is interested. Car is dirty, so ignore that. I don't have any sound clips either, but I think it sounds real good, no Ricer sound at all. Those aren't removable baffles, they are set screws for the adjustable tips. http://tinypic.com/990tj5.jpg http://tinypic.com/990uag.jpg http://tinypic.com/990un4.jpg http://tinypic.com/990utz.jpg Hopefully they work, tiny pic loads slow sometimes. Window tint is def. next on my list, then tires/wheels hopefully soon. Thanks for the comments,
SBT
dayam - the tips are bluing already! Must be some really hot gas mixture coming out of those pipes. Looks aesthetically good overall. SBT - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
4mcrue
haha Yeah, they are kind of gay, but I wanted that size of muffler and longer tips. I know, they are the blue flame tips, but they actually grew on me. thanks for the comments guys
wayne53
Take off that dealer badge! dayam - the tips are bluing already! SBT it's JDM, yo!
TSiWRX
Awesome! Thanks for the new pictures! I very much like the looks of that setup - you've actually completely changed my mind about having twin canisters out of the rear portals. I would likely have to go the route of having silencers, for the comfort of the wifey - but just out of curiosity, what's the diameter of your tips? Thanks! -A <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
4mcrue
3.5" diameter tips, 4.5" diam. case, 12" long case, 2.5" in Tip is adjustable, I have it at about 5" length I think. I ordered them from Summit Racing Equipment I like them alot better than my magnaflow on the 2.5RS, that buzzes away, while these kind of purr more. warnoldscu
not to get down on your system, but you're pipes are really low in the back before they bend up to the mufflers... mine looked just like that and I had a shop rebend the pipes so they fit up under the car.... my tips are really similar though so looks good!
