So far i found KYB GR2 best bang for the buck. I want to do struts, mounts and maybe some bushings, don't know where to start. 4 KYB GR2, 300$ shipped My other thoughts : Front : Tokico HTS Rear: kyb gr2 I will have than some adjustability in front. 400 $ shipped

volodyalysak
Will there be any problem if i have tokico's in front and KYB's in the rear ? I want to have stock like ride, but some adjustability in front. Thanks
specialB
Subscribed, trying to do the same here. Not in the market to have a full coilover setup but i want some adjustability to my ride. I missed out on a huge sale at tokico where they were selling their hts shock kit for $630 off of retail price to clear out old inventory. By the time i ordered they were out of stock Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

AZP Installs
KYB GR2s are probably your best bet. We have been doing suspensions for a while and mixing and matching springs or shocks on a car is NEVER a good idea. GR2 is actually a great stock-like (better than stock actually) replacement for a DD car and I wouldn't hesitate to do that. Konis are also good but they are significantly more money and cost more to install or if DIY are a bit of a PITA if you haven't done them before. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. Any idea how these Koni's would compare to what you have dealt with over the years? i might change from my old bilstein and pinks setup soon enough. and these look like a good choice for a Daily driver http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?product=2577296

For a street driven car we can't recommend anything better. I ran Konis + Pinks for many years on street and on track. I was able to set them super stiff for track and soften them up for daily driving and Mother In Law duty. They also carry a lifetime warranty on them, and we have actually used that for several clients over the years. Definitely worth a good hard look at them. The only thing up from Konis in our book are a set of KW Coilovers or AST or Motons, but those are for exclusive track use only. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. LegacyDan
So kw v2's would be too uncomfortable for a dd? Are you referring to koni shocks or inserts? Maybe koni shocks and my oinks would be good setup. I'm just not sure what the bright difference would be with monks and pinks compared to current jdm billies and oinks. Sorry for hijack op hopefully info included will help your decision!

Sorry for hijack op hopefully info included will help your decision! I would just not suggest any coil overs as a DD suspension setup. If you are very hard core, then you could get away with the KWs for street driving and you probably don't have corrosion issues to deal with where you are as well. Koni Inserts and Koni Shocks are the same. The difference is in the application. On the LGT it happens to be Inserts for the front and Shocks for the rear. I am referring to Koni Yellows which are the adjustable sport shocks. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. volodyalysak
Update: So yesterday i did closer inspection on my car, looks like lower control arm bushings shot, i can move control arm up and down with little force. Other bushing in bad shape too. I was thinking before it was all struts that bad, but now i might replace bushings first and see if it makes any difference in handling and if it going to isolate all funky noises that i hear from suspension. I don't think i can install all bushings myself, but will take some suggestions on how to replace them and where to start at all. After it's done i'll see if i need new shocks at all. Thanks for your help

LosAngelesLGT
At 1 ton of pressure I would assume so but we used the 12 ton one at MSprank's before he opened the shop. I would be more concerned with making the parts fir in the area than the pressure. Maybe someone else can chime in here. Seriously considering picking one up for under $50 and how little room it will take up. Might even be able to use it with a hand with some parts in place. 06silvarubiLGT
OP I highly advise you shop around for AVO or Whitleline replacement bushings. You should also look into a set of replacement front links, Id recommend the KartBoys, if the LCA bushings are gone the front links arent far behind.
