Boost issue

Recommended Posts

Yesterday i got my car (stage 2) dyno tuned. It was boosting 18.5lbs with a stock tubro and a stock top mount. Today it ran fine up until i hit peak boost one time and now i can olny boost up to 11 psi. So i guess my question would be how much boost can the OEM top mount take up to?

Reliably day-after-day. ~13.5psi. Some are running higher boost, but not without reinforcing the TM. See BarManBean's GB on the reinforcment kit.

1) Check for TMIC leak. While you have the the TMIC removed, do

2) Check under the TMIC for the T-fitting that may have popped off. This will result in you throwing a CEL and will limit your boost to wastegate pressure.

3) Post a LearningView. Search to figure out how.

16.5psi from almost new to one year old and two years at 18~20psi, stock IC no kludging. Moved on to a Spearco now but had no issues with the stocker.

TMIC is OK but i want a better one just for my own sake..

Kind of overkill for stg2 but it's your money.
