Potential part out (Ft. Worth)

BAC5.2

Recommended Posts

If the insurance company decides to fix my car, I'm going to want to part it out before trading it in.

I'll need OEM parts to replace them. We can sort out labor as-needed.

I'll be looking to get rid of:

OE Nav retrofit with Garmin GPS module and iSimple Gateway Bluetooth kit. $700

F/R brembos. Freshly rebuilt with new rotors, Stoptech pads, and extended e-brake pads. Powdercoated wrinkle black. Less than 3k miles on everything. $2100

VBG1 1.05b - $250

Bilstein HD's with JDM Wagon pink springs and custom strut spacers. Hotchkis sways with AVO brackets and KB endlinks - $1000

Cobb Acessport V2. Unmarried. $400.

Yakima roof rack (low riders) with two Sprocket Rocket racks and a fairing. - $350

A set of Drag DR34's with 225/55/17 Pilot Sports on them. The wheels and tires will be brand new. $1000 (trade only with Outback owner).

I'd also be interested in selling the car, as-is. 65k miles, 5-speed, 60k service done, and I have the bulk of all records for it. It's seen nothing but Motul synthetic, changed every 3k-3500 miles. All of the body shop repairs will be under warranty. I'm open to offers.

Repairs won't be completed for another 5 weeks (minimum), so parts won't be available until then.

Yep, I'd need stock stuff to put back on. I don't have time to do most of the work myself, so local swap would be ideal.

Yep, OE items are required. I dont care if they are worn or anything, so long as they function and have no real deposits on the rotors.

They got the doors off the car and found the body damage to not be so bad. I may keep the car until the end of next summer after its fixed.

  • 1 month later...

Still waiting for the car to be finished.

At this point, I'd much rather sell it complete. If anyone is interested, please PM me.

Nice, you finally pulled the trigger? I have been a step behind you on the strut hunt for awhile now.

Yup, finally did. Picked up the epics a little while ago so figured I may as well finally grab the Konis. Will probably take me time cutting up my donor struts, cleaning them and painting them up so it still may be a while yet before I have them installed.

Anyway, don't mean to jack your thread BAC. Hope the car comes back right and that whatever you decide to do works out well. If you still have a VBG gauge that you want to get rid of I would be interested.

Get in line buddy! I sent a note on the VBG1 when the thread was created :p:lol:

I believe you did send the first one. I'd have to check.

No :p that must have been in WDYDTY4GLT? thread when the accident was posted - I waited until he posted a part out thread (this one), and still felt guilty even though he created a "potential" part out thread, since he was in such a crappy situation.
