Zac88
So I need a new balljoint upfront on my 05 LGT Wagon. I was wondering if there was any type of anti-lift kit or Group N upgrades for it? Thanks
derffred
Whiteline makes a bump-steer kit.. I believe it comes with outer tie rods & front lower ball joints. I'll copy their description. "The Whiteline bump-steer correction kit extends the factory front end tie-rods to keep the axles at nearly the same distance from the frame at the steering box, eliminating axle tilt and subsequently curing bump-steer. Whiteline includes their bump-steer kit in every roll-center kit for the perfect total suspension solution. Your Subaru never felt this good!" whitetiger
^not needed if not lowered. oem replacements are cheaper, and wont need an alignemnt after install like the whiteline kit will.

Max Capacity
Search for ball joint post here. You may be better off to buy the spindle and new ball joint, and save the labor time trying to remove the old ball joint. In the long run, it may work out cheaper and easier if your DIY. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/ball-joint-replacement-186404.html?t=186404&highlight=ball+joint+replacement 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. scoobyscoodle
Getting the ball joint out of the spindle is easy, use a prybar between the spindle and control arm to separate. Then to get the ball joint out of the lca I've found a pitman arm puller works well.

cypher0117
Just get OEM. You may need the sniper ball tugger. sounds unpleasant.. I enjoyed using that ball tugger. Only lasted about 10 minutes though OP: If you need new ball joints, check your caster bushings in your LCA. They like to tear.
compsurge
Ha. I have to get replacement washers for mine. They are not thick enough. A 1/8" plate would probably work. LOL at southeast PA car. I can't even imagine what it would be for New England.
