Nice job on the paint. What did you do for pre-paint prep? Sand/bead blast, wirebrush, what? Came out nice.

I see fuels rails - those look good. Same process as your intake?

Yeah same process trying to decide how I want to paint the lines now cause I dont want to try and sand blast those.

I noticed the new water pump gasket is metal has anyone used one of these yet. I just hope it seals good with no sealant.

I got most of the block cleaned up today and working on painting some small parts. I picked up my injectors yesterday and a bunch of new bolts from the dealer including head bolts.

Ok thanks.

I got the surfaces for the water pump and oil pump clean. Just need to clean up the oil pump now. I also got the fuel lines painted so I will prob put the intake mostly together tomorrow.

Starting putting the intake back together some. I had the TB apart and was going to paint it but it has soo many little parts and springs I put it back together.

I was checking the valve clearances. If I have one that is too loose and one that is too tight both on the intake would it hurt to try and swap them round? Just not sure if it would be a good idea or not.

I measured the valve lash and the thickness of the shims. The hardest part is using the feeler gauges and deciding where you think it is by the feel. Mine went from .178 to .203 some felt like they fell in between so ill have to use some good judgement.

Going to order some shims tomorrow.
