Guest *Jedimaster*
Hmmm- now that's not bad. I'd like to see one like what they make for the Forester where the little lid is replaced by a hood that opens for storage and still has the gauges molded to the outside. mccorry
Here are some that I am considering for my Leg GT... This one is from AC Autotechnic (anyone have experience with them? This set is from Megan Racing (again, anyone have input?) Autometer C2's Autometer Cobalts
axis008
Personally I think AC is too ricey. I like the Defi BF gauges the best. They are high quality, and their price reflects that. The Megan one is nice, nothing much to say about it. The Autometer Cobalt is nice but Autometer C2... anything with indiglo now is not in..... Haha. -ben
Steve D
The STi Genome gauges match the cluster in the Version 7 STi Type RA perfectly. They also match the vanilla Version 7 STi apart from the needles...in the main cluster they're amber and the Genome gauges are red. The Version 8 Impreza STi cluster is the same setup as the USDM cluster. The Genome gauges don't match very well at all. I'd shoot for the Defi-Link gauges...they seem to look really good in that PDF!!
Xenonk
You all should try www.dakotadigital.com for their gauges if you want something hard-set like that. Keefe Keefe
powbmps
Those are pretty cool. NIce price. A 'vacuum/boost' gauge and sending unit for $140. Thanks for the link. Chris S.
Deer Killer
Another one. Looks like a modded omori. Yeah it's for a B6 audi, but it does match our gauges too (better even, I think)! $260 with all their custom molded plastic bits, but we could probably convince them to sell the gauge only for a lot less. Guest jpkad
Has anyone done this to their '05 Legacy yet? If so, what did you end up going with and where did you mount it?
devobuzz
I just measured out where I'm gonna put one - there's room for two 2 1/16 inch gauges in the cubby hole above the trip computer. I'll just make a plate to mount the gauges in - a boost gauge and maybe an oil pressure.
S4
Are you going to leave the door?
devobuzz
Yeh I think so - it provides shade to the gauges to make them easier to read (that's my excuse for keeping the door). Actually I don't want to start cutting things up!
S4
Hmm...I'm thinking about a couple gauges and a V1 remote display in there. I haven't figure out if there'd be enough space though yet. At least boost and the v1 would be nice. Being able to close the door to hide that stuff is even better.
Guest *Jedimaster*
Hmm- I'm only interested in the boost guage- maybe I'll rig up a divider so I can still use some of the storage space. I was going to cast a pod for the dash or a pillar but this sounds like a much better way- and whoever said that you'd be able to close it to hide the goodies and it would provide shade for the gauge has me sold! aldog1330
Just remember that stuff gets really hot in that cubby, though I'm sure its the same for anything else in the dash!
GranTourer
Hmmm, two gauges fit in that cubby. I noticed that other than a boost gauge someone mentioned installing an oil pressure gauge. I was thinking the next important stat to monitor would be EGT temps, but I could be way off. What other gauge would compliment a boost gauge? Any opinions/suggestions? Guest *Jedimaster*
I'd be up for oil pressure myself. EGT's aren't really something you need to monitor unless you're reaaaaallllly modding the car.

abakja1
reviving an old thread,.. but I was thinking about getting the Megan boost gauge too,...Looks good and is cheap,..I would like to get the DEFI BF gauge, but for $300, Id rather save it and get an AP first,.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7977145845 What do you think?? Not bad for $50 shipped,.. btw, oil pressure gauge would be good to know since you wouldnt be starving your engine of oil, but I think this is more for peeps who race or have "built" engines,.. ..but water temps good too if you live in hot locals and need to know if you're running hot due to no antifreeze or leaks from bad maintanence or hoses etc,.. abakja1
anyone got pics of the Megan boost gauge in their car?? Any night pics too?? I would save my $$ for other things since all I need is a boost gauge instead of a $300 Defi gauge,.. thanks
