Aczwild Posted July 11, 2005 Share Posted July 11, 2005 Brand new Eclipse 6.5 Pointsource Speakers. These suckers are absolutely nuts over the stock speakers. Ran into a few probs installing them though, first I had to modify the plastic speaker brackets. I had to cut off the back of them that wrapped around the rear of the factory speaker. The next problem was clearance of the passenger side window. The metal tab that sticks off of the window to stop it from going any higher would hit the mini amp on the rear of the speaker when raising and lowering the window. I had to bend the tab up and then, dare I say it, sand down the clear plastic cover around the amp. I finally got it to clear and well now I'm so glad I bought them. Also the other stereo stuff in my car includes the tweaters from a limited GT, a Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD headunit, an Eclipse 10" Aluminum DVC powered by a Rockford Fosgate 551s Power Series amp and a Rockford Fosgate 1.0 Farad Capcitor. And to add to the stereo there is always the GP-Moto Intake... GP-Moto Intake PS The doors and windows were all shut and its still that loud for the Stereo...
