joeyjojoe
so i've almost decided to pull the trigger on buying some 18" rota tarmac ii in full royal steel gray (for my silver lgt). question is: will i need to get the car lowered? if so, what are my choices? just give me names of the products and i can read up on them. are coilovers the way to go? i don't think i really need adjustable ones since i'm not doing anything other than daily driving, but are the adjustable ones better quality or something? SECOND QUESTION can you guys recommend any other quality wheels that look similar to the jdm 18" wheels or the rota tarmac ii that i should think about for the silver lgt. LzyKid4Life
I just recently got some 18s on the car... It doesnt need to be lowered, but would look alot better...I was really worried about how the car would look with 18s on it, but its not anything you can't live with.... nKoan
Pictures of my car with 18" P1s and stock ride height. Please keep in mind that these pictures were taken at angles to reduce the fender gap as much as possible. http://www.neurosybir.net/nkoan/images/LGT-WRX/DSCF0173_small.jpg http://www.neurosybir.net/nkoan/images/LGT-WRX/DSCF0164_small.jpg http://www.neurosybir.net/nkoan/images/LGT-WRX/DSCF0153_small.jpg
joeyjojoe
that's some pretty large gap. so if i do want to lower it, what choices do i have?
sandwood
just a set of springs are by far your cheapest option. do a search and you will find several options. if you have the coin, you can consider springs and struts, or a coilover setup. getting out of the legacy game
LzyKid4Life
in the legacy photo gallery ^^What he said...the wheel gap is fairly big, but I don't mind looks good to me
Legasee
I find the new Legacy's front bumper pretty low already WITHOUT lowering it (maybe it's the LA strees/parking lot bumps and stuff) and I also find the front and the rear wheels gaps pretty small (looks great already, but better with bigger circumference tires), compared to other cars. I just got 18's with 225/40/18's and now my wheel gaps are less (18's tires overall circumference is LARGER than the 17's overall circumference )...have fun with your decision!!! if you wanna see some pics http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14854&page=1&pp=10 In Taiwan now... Gohmer1
Get STI pinks. I have them, and actually only had to really do the front two to get it looking even.
