Jesus! A newbie asks a few questions about his car and out come the smart asses! Hahaha

But it sounds like it's probable your tires if you ask me. Make sure they are all the same size.

But you will NOT be running a 25psi legacy. I've read posts of people trying to run about 16 and blowing their motor up after about 2000 miles. EJ25's are already prone to head gasket failure. Forced induction only makes it worse. Our motors are just too high compression. If you want horse power you're gonna be spending alot of money. Your best bet is going to be getting aftermarket crank, oversized cams, different pistons etc. This will al be REALLY expensive. I've heard of people dropping Turbo EJ20 out of WRX's into our style legacys without too many problems(with the exception of wiring). I've also heard of people putting in the twin turbo 6 cylinder's out of svx's in ours..

In my personal opinion if you want horse power.. get a newer legacy and convert it too stage 2. But if younreally like this body style.. try your best to get it back ti the factory 165hp and do alot of suspension mods. Alot of parts off of other subarus can be picked up cheap and are interchangeable with ours. Most will improve handling. Example: 03 wrx struts are interchangeable with a second Gen legacy.

Use it for what it was bred to do...... GET SIDEWAYS:)

Or.... if you REALLY want horsepower... you could be one of those Chevy guys and drop als1 in it!

Just something I thought it was funny. I had a picture in mind when I posted that but I can't find it. The picture was a little rice burner car and the caption was "ls1...like a retard on viagra, they'll stick it anything" hahaha:p

I'm still going to do a SBC swap into a first gen when I have the time and money to do so.

Here is a video of someone who did it in a second gen

Those LS engines are just that awesome!
I know! I want taking anything away from them! I was just saying! My buddy is a Chevy fanatic and he's got one in his camaro. Talk about raw horsepower. The thing is 100% factory and it still throws my head back the seat lol. My brother is gettin an ls2 gto next weekend.... kinda makes my little N/A EJ25 a little underpowered:/ but that's ok... well see who's laughing next time it snows:rolleyes:

I'm a chevy person too. I also have a completely original 86 Camaro Z28. At 165 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque it's a bit underpowered (especially being an auto and having long gearing) but it's still faster than my Subie.. I can't stand driving it in anything but dry weather though. And as much as I am a fan of the LS engines, my absolute favorite engine is the 1969 Z/28 302. I built one from the ground up and it's been sitting in my garage waiting to be put into something. I'll eventually get around to picking up another 3rd gen Camaro to put it into. But that won't be until I've finished with my Subie.
