1055
17x9.5 +19 vette sawblades. 255/40/17 yokohoma s drives. Omnipower coilovers. I had to shave down the lock collar on the coil 3/16th of an inch and hammer out the rear wheel well a bit. Car was also lowered 5.5" front, 5" rear
maddoc
I have well over an inch of inboard clearance, possibly even 2 inches. Trying to get pics. I went to pull the car out of the garage after getting all the wheels on the other day and as I finished up the last wheel we got a torrential down pour. boxkita
you're not hitting the tires at all (didnt see the tell-tale cut)? Build my car Boxkita Track days
maddoc
The car has only moved about 10 feet since I put the wheels on, but ywah, the rear tires are probably going to rub. Fender rolling on the rear is in the near future.
lil_z_33
maddoc...car looks great... how much space do you have between the wheels/tires and the suspension? also, what suspension are you running?
maddoc
Close to 2" of inner clearance on both front and rear. I am running BC Racing coilovers.
lil_z_33
awesome...thanks for your input...that makes me believe that I can run 18x8.5 +48 offset with 255/35/18...

Imprezsing04
looking good. what are they? And you have a 06 wrx?? oh how far we have come...
maddoc
Basically they're Wedsport SA55M "knock-offs". They're Advanti Racing Vago V3s. I don't know how many sets are available, I know they were rare to find in an 18x9 +43. And yeah - 06 WRX wagon. Bought it a few weeks ago for daily duty. OutbackXT05
I just put 255/40/18s +35 offset on my outback today but I have the cheater fender flares. Thanks for posting those pics of your 255s because it made me pull the trigger on mine.
maddoc
Glad I could help, but yeah your Outback definitely has a couple more inches in outboard clearance - cheater !
OutbackXT05
Ya I know and I used it all. Slightly tucking in the front and the rears tuck in nicely with weight in the trunk.
maddoc
So I'm running into a few issues. Either the car is too low, or I didn't roll enough. I drove the car about 3 miles today (total) and when I got home I found that the painted plastic piece that is right below the rear door was unclipped. I guess I was rubbing on it? Not sure if I need to add more negative camber, cut the plastic and roll that area? Hmph. Might have to talk to the Hellaflush kiddies.

maddoc
The rear is sitting a little low right now, less than a finger gap in the rear, so raising it may help.

Drift Motion
you'll have to roll the fenders for 255s my 255s almost fit on my 9 +38 wheel just my coils are too low, either right ride height, or a camber adjustment or a pull would fix it
boxkita
@SubieGillis - goto your local tire store, dig thru their pile of tires for a 255 (ask first), pull a wheel off your car, stuff the 255 in the wheel well (unmounted). If you drop the jack down slowly, you can see how the tire would fit. Nothing like seeing it for yourself. Build my car Boxkita Track days

A higher offset and you start to run the risk of hitting the strut/coilover. Though if you're running a 255, you more than likely need coilovers. I have no idea how you'd fit a 9" wheel with 255s under the car without coilovers...
