Vinny78
Anyone have rallitek lowering springs? I installed rallitek springs on brand new oem struts at my dealership. The springs actually make noise, and they are installed correct, i noticed the top of the spring coils actually compress to much and rub each other causing a binding noise. just wanna see if anyone else is experiencing this problem. ive been in contact with rallitek but havent heard anything from them. htioki
There was a thread about the noise issue with rallitek springs. It had to do with incorrect installation. I can't remember exactly what the issue was, but there was a fix. If you do a search for 'rallitek', the thread should come up. I'm on rallitek springs and stock struts also and have no noise issues. Vinny78
ya i read it but im pretty sure my issue isnt an installation issue. ive installed plenty of springs and struts at work and never had an issue. I think there springs are messed up but idk

chutrain
Seeing some people are saying it's the coils, try going to the hardware store and picking up some tubing and sleeve the coils and see if that fixes the noise.
metsfan999
i have the same exact problem but with my Epic Springs. I just sprayed some White Lithium Grease and my problem has been solved.

thestratomaster
do your springs still have the clear rubbery sleeve on them in a couple places? If those were removed that's likely your problem

thestratomaster
they never had them to begin with that's likely your problem... you can kinda see the dirty clear tube towards the top here. It's on the fronts too but I don't have a good picture http://i43.tinypic.com/35bdqnd.jpg
GEE-OTTO
This is good to know as i will be doing springs soon (H Techs on stock KY-Bs)
htioki
I bought my springs brand new when they were still available and they didn't come with any rubber sleeves, so you shouldn't need them. I'm not using any rubber sleeves or tubing and I have no noise issues. I know Tien springs come with these sleeves already from the factory. I guess it is not a bad idea to install these sleeves when you're installing the springs.

htioki
I bought them in Oct 2010. I think Rallitek discontinued them at the beginning or mid 2011. Edit: I just checked their website, it looks like they have 2 sets available. http://www.rallitek.com/RalliTEK-Sport-Springs-Legacy-GTSpec-B-2005-2009/p-4271
