That's exactly what the wave is about though. I enjoy the tuned Subaru community, so when I see someone with a tuned Subaru, I do want to meet them and ask what mods they have or plans they have for mods. I enjoy going to the various meets that we have locally and talking shop with the guys. I just had to replace my hood due to an unforunate garage door incident, and one of the local Subie guys works at a body shop and got me a new OEM hood painted and installed for less than my deductible. It would have been a $1300 insurance job. We also help with installs saving tons of money vs. paying a shop to do it at $60+ and hour. I would consider a lot of the local Subie guys friends. We keep up with each others' families, jobs, etc. And it all started because we met at a Subaru meet because we drive the same kind of car. So I guess I'm a douche bag for waving at them. DUDES it looks stockish under my hood thanks to BNR & my careful installation practices and parts choices... but i'm rolling a 20g in here vs your 36lb/hr or less turbos. I occasionally get an STI or WRX that recognizes my LGt wagon and checks it out from different angles . I wave to them with my middle finger or all of them depending on my mood.
