I am going to use 205/50 r17 just like the stock tires. The wheels come with used Altimax tires rims and tires are $350 dollars. The offset is either +42 or +45 I am trying to find that out. The person selling them supposedly had them on his 2008 Legacy 2.5i with no problems. I don't think that -1inch wheel difference would be a big deal for snow tires.

Ha! I just realized something...

17x6 +42 vs the stock 17x7 +53 gives you 24mm more room from the strut, and 2mm sucked in from the fender overall.

That is going to look beyond stupid. But, fortunately, it'll kick butt in the snow. Even though the car will be FWD...

Narrower is better in the snow, but they're still Neon wheels.

I'm sure they weigh less so there should some HP gain. ;)

Fewer driven wheels, too, so you'll gain there too.

I stick to the troof, brother.

Actually, finding out the SRT wheels are 5x100, I did a quick look to see if I could score a set dirt cheap for this same reason (skinny snows). Those people are CRAZY wanting that much money for their wheels. The few I saw were asking in the $500 range for a clean set of 4, and in the $350 range for minor blemishes. Insane. I was actually hoping I could find some 195/60's but it doesn't appear that they exist. I'd have considered it, if I could get a set of the wheels for like... a 12-pack of Natural Light.

And since we are on the topic, what dyno did you get your VF52 readings on? You make a good bit more hp than I do, but less torque, and at higher boost. Was the torque figure on purpose (i.e. conservative), or was it the dyno?
