Osei
You can mix different brands of Dexron III/Mercon w/o any adverse effects. Most of the transaxle fluid (about5) I have seen, have been either a golden brown or yellowish. I would change it, especially since the the total amount is less than 6 qts (front and rear) and is one less thing to worry about. O.

I Donated broknindarkagain Posted October 30, 2011 I Donated Share Posted October 30, 2011 If you read the transmission faq at the top of the forum, it will tell you how much fluid you need. I like to change automatic fluid every 30k miles myself...and I do the filter each time with it -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
