MasAyinde
it's automatic with paddle shifters, not a sequential manual. Glad to hear the RS6 isn't a true sports sedan, just a luxury sports sedan.
BAC5.2
Can't you get an RS6 with a manual, though? The RS4 I drove had a 6MT. hmmrdwn
Neat? Yes. Would I like to beat on one? Yes. Would I ever want to own one? No phuckin way. VW's are bad enough to maintain, muchless an RS Audi. You got it. Great performers when they are running. It would sorta be cool for Masayndie to get one and do the ole VW pimp his ride. BAC5.2
Nope, only the 5 speed auto Shame. The only RS6 I've seen in person must have been modified. The exhaust sounded NASTY! The new rs6 can be had in manual.... cant it? The 580hp v10 twin turbo monster. If not that is a let down
BAC5.2
I don't believe so. At least the Avant can't be had with it. I DO think it's got some variant of the PDK floppy paddle box, though, which is good enough. ehsnils
It might be fun to drive one, but I don't think that I would like to own one. Expensive car with insurance on suicide level.
BAC5.2
I think it depends. I got a quote on an SRT-10 Viper, and wasn't really too shocked. It's not as bad as you think. The vette had a higher value than my legacy and the insurance was still cheaper on the vette.
TRSCobra
I looked at trading my 05 S2000 for an 04 Z06 and the insurance was cheaper on the vette.

TRSCobra
That explains why my friend's cummins is so cheap to insure...
psi365
Engine has to come out to do drive belts, IIRC. No it doesn't. I've seen timing belts done on them many times. Problem is they use a special synthetic oil specifically for RS6's, every 35k you are supposed to do a timing belt, and the suspension system DRC (dynamic ride control) is awesome on a race track, not so much on regular roads. Can't you get an RS6 with a manual, though? The RS4 I drove had a 6MT. Not in the US. You couldn't even get a RS6 avant in the US. The new rs6 can be had in manual.... cant it? The 580hp v10 twin turbo monster. If not that is a let down Don't think so. I don't believe so. At least the Avant can't be had with it. I DO think it's got some variant of the PDK floppy paddle box, though, which is good enough. Nope regular old automagic. The tech next to me had 2 engine/trans out of 2 RS6's last week. One got a new torque convertor, the other got a new steering rack. Also if you chip them the transmissions don't last long. Audi purposely slightly slips the clutch pack engagement so add more torque and hp and it toasts the clutch packs out quick.
