MKdestroyer117
I noticed it on my 98 legacy so I looked it up. What do they do? I only see one on the right rear rim. The other rims dont have them.

NWSPECB
There are also sticky wheel weights that go on the inside of your rim and do the same thing as the clip-ons.
MKdestroyer117
So is it anything to worry about? Why is it only on one wheel? I didnt notice it when I bought the car.
Bigdaddy41301
No nothing to worry about. Must have been the only wheel that needed it. Every car anywhere has weights on it
MKdestroyer117
Oh ok. But I dont see other cars with these weights. Well the car drives good so I guess its fine.
Bigdaddy41301
You can have them put on the inside or the outside of the rim.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted August 27, 2011 I Donated Share Posted August 27, 2011 You can ballance a wheel several ways. It really depends on what the customer wants and what kind of wheel it is. Most newer wheels don't have a lip that you can hammer a weight onto. In these cases, you have to use whats called "sticky weights" on the inner part of the wheel just behind the spokes. You can also do whats called "static ballancing" where you only put weights on the back side of the tire. EVERY tire needs to be balanced. There should be weights somewhere on there. They don't always need them on the outside....or there may be sticky weights that you don't see from the outside. Next time you are in the Wal-Mart parking lot walk up to 10 cars and look at their wheels. You will see that most cars have weights on them. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
