Bbc84 Posted September 18, 2011 Share Posted September 18, 2011 On a whim, l almost bought a used A4 a while back until the owner said that it didn't have the timing belt replaced yet. Did some research and found out that the whole front whole front end needs to be pulled. Not kidding. You gotta pull the front bumper, head lights, etc. all the way to the engine. Check out this Youtube video and imagine what a dealer will charge if you can't afford it... Haha that is why I wont buy a VW or Audi, 3 of us did timing belt on a friends family Passat, and we went through the EXACT same thing, we pretty much took the front half of the car apart. and what was more annoying was EVERY SINGLE BOLT was a TORX/Star bit.
