skibob6
Does anyone know if a stock momo from a wrx will mount in my 99 gt, I was hoping to do the swap and have the same clockspring so the airbag would still be functional and not "salvage title" my car. Zues Marine
depending on the year of your car, you may have to splice wires to the airbag connector, physically, yes it will fit
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted July 5, 2011 I Donated Share Posted July 5, 2011 Salvage titles are usually issued if an airbag is deployed, not if its non-functional. Yes the steering wheel will fit. Like Zues said, you may have to do some minor wire splicing. I believe the wires are the same, but the connector is different. The way around it is to cut the connectors off and use butt-connectors to connect the corresponding wires together. If you do this, make sure you do a GOOD job connecting the wires. You don't want your airbag to deploy in your face while you're doing 90 on the interstate because you left a wire loose and it grounded out... -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
