iv_05gt
I currently have an 05 LGT 5mt. I just started a job where i'm putting lots of miles on. the car has 93000 (just ticked over today) on it. Would you be more inclined to keep the 05 and put money into it to keep it going over the long haul, or trade up to an 08/09 (probably be a spec b if I can find one for the 6mt) I know the turbo on my 05 will need to be replaced sooner then later, i'm sure it will need an oil pickup and a turbo oil feed line. I love the car and the feel of the 05-09 body. What's your opinion?
MDW25gt
Turbos dont just wear out. Or do they?? You will need a timing belt in 10k miles. And might want to do an oil pump and water pump at the same time.
king_j
do you have the money for an upgrade? if the 05 is strong, keep it.

c-lo
I commute 60miles a day and have 173k on my car....second turbo swapped out at around 95k. frankly I don't see the point of switching. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
theflystyle
get a h6.. less overall maint. the no turbo or timing belt to take care of. longer oil change intervals. for a commuter its a great car <-----------
