Scooby2.5
Took some actual photos today. What do you guys think? http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7085/6887405564_eb40943bc3_c.jpg Man I think this is perfect, I think you went lower from the other pics i saw but this is absolutely my favorite pic.... Do you know what the ride height was in this one...
Sublimejoe
Thanks! Yeah, this height was a much more comfortable ride but I like the way it looks now. I want to say that it was 11.5" hub to fender but I could be wrong. Responding to your PM now too.
Scooby2.5
Yep. So I'm going up to 15" front and back. That should be just right. BAC this is what I am at 15 front and rear. Next month I am putting 245x45x18.5 2011 Enkei STI wheels with a 15MM spacer/adapter. Should be 40 offset with those on it. Right close to sublime. http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f72/how-fit-5x114-3-2011-sti-wheels-your-5x100-forester-dont-try-home-110581/
BAC5.2
I'll have to re-measure. My ride height is exactly how I want it now. I'm very hesitant about any kind of adapter spacers. If you get them, take a bunch of pics. I'd really like to go 5x114 so I can pick up a set of 08+ STi 18's (the optional ones). And my 17's are dual drilled so I could keep them for winter wheels. Maybe when I need new tires, I'll design something. I imagine adapter spacers are the exact same principle right? Stepping outside now to measure my ride height.

I imagine adapter spacers are the exact same principle right? Stepping outside now to measure my ride height. Adapter spacers are similar to bolt-on spacers. They just change the bolt pattern while spacing the wheel out. They aren't ideal, but it depends on how they are made. I want to see pics of the inside of your fender. BAC5.2
I just want to see how much rolling/trimming was required should I ever again feel the urge to run a 245/45/18. Scooby2.5
Well the company I got them from makes them out of a billet piece of aluminum and CNC/water jets them out like they do wheels. I got the ones that bolt on as well. I'm not afraid I the ones like I got and I you follow the link I posted above I got the same ones he did. A lot of engineers have told me the bolt on ones are no different then running offset wheels
BAC5.2
If they are designed well, they aren't any different than running different offset wheels. If they are designed poorly, then they can be extremely dangerous. Proper torque is absolutely crucial to keeping them safe. Can you take some pictures of the back of them (where their studs mount)? Sublimejoe
I believe that height was 12.5" but when I put the current tires on it made the car lower by a good bit before I even touched the coils.
