Angeles Crest Highway has reopened today on La Canada side and it will remain permanently open!!! We should have a meet!!!

 

As for the day of meet I was thinking june 18th or 19th or july 9th or 10th we can go up to Newcomb's Ranch to eat

 

or

 

Drive up to Newcomb's Ranch then drive through big tujunga then do bbq at my house where everyone brings a little something to throw on the grill.

 

I have a big enough street/cul-de-sac to fit about 20 some cars

Lol I experience the mudslide first hand I live on the Crest a few blocks from the entrance to the mountain. Cal Trans repairs almost all the damage and repaved all the roads so next I hope the fix up the road to wrightwood

yep i was one of the first to drive it this morning. it's amazing. the road is smooth and the brush is growing back. i'm gonna start recreating there again. might even join a trail crew...

I went after work yesterday late afternoon for a nice drive yep it indeed is smooth. It's so smooth I can hear all the squeeks and wierd sounds my cars has.

Already left a substantial amount of my KDW's on the road surface. Going to be WAAAAY too busy now. I hope it rains HARD ASAFP. Keep that crap closed. Now there is nowhere decent to drive my car in LA.

Anyhow, fun run up the hill. Lunch was artery hardening. Its obvious that spirited drives are going to have to be very early only because of new traffic however, the view is INCREDIBLE and there are a lot of turnouts and photo opportunities. Chilao campground is a great spot too. Next time I camp there I am inviting you to come visit Jay!
