What were the final repairs/upgrades to your trans?

Moore blast plates

OEM gears (only 2nd?) and some kind of heat treatment

Are those the same blast plates that are made for the 5-speed? I was looking into getting a set to throw on when I need a new clutch but I wasn't sure if they'd fit our cars. Any noticeable difference in shift feel since installing the blast plates?

Same as made for the 5 speed. It required some customization as the blast plate got in the way of our funky trans located engine mount. Also one of the bolts wasn't long enough so the shop ended up buying a 2 foot long bolt and cutting it to size.

Can't comment exactly on a difference in feel as this was part of a trans rebuild and I was without the car for about 2 months so it obviously felt way better than the exploded transmission.

Intake box is in. Made sure to leave room to relocate the BPV when the RacerX charge pipe goes in. Went ahead and had it powder coated too. Best of all I removed around 2' of intake piping (weight reduction )

His setup is a one off custom intake. He's tuned speed density, not MAF based.

Correct. It's a AEM filter/intake purchased from KStech mounted to the samco intake piping. Box is custom fabricated and connects to the factory air inlet.

Looks great - noticeable improvement? Squeaky?

Haven't noticed a difference in stopping distance but I don't have many miles on them so far. Definitely a noticeable improvement in pedal feel so if nothing else it makes me feel more confident. No squeaky at all.....yet.....

Acumenhokie. Thanks for the idea I just finished making mine... I'm gonna have to redo because it I didn't like the way it turned out.
