BlipBlip,

Just asking your opinion on a set of wheels that is 18x8.5 +35. Do you think I could make that work with the rolling and a bit of pulling, camber and stretched tire? Also what size tire do you recommend for a nice stretched fitment but not ridiculous?

Thanks,

Ruby

very nice job with the rotas! what size tires are you running with the 18x9.5 grids?

im doing a similar suspension setup with that "flush" look and tires size would be a huge help!!

thnx in advance!

Ta, 225-40-18 but thats with the Falken 452 great tyre to stretch!

That shouldn't be to bad might be a good Idea to put some new wheel bearing in though, as the 35 will be putting a strain on them?

With a 8.5j you could do a set of 215-35-18's? my pal has them on his Bugeye, but he's still running a 18 x 9.5 et38s, now that is a stretcharoony!

Project Update:

Ok so started last Tuesday with finally getting round to having a look at my front bumper, I know I should've taken it of but it was only gunna be a quick fix as it's going in for paint in June. So after a bit of Dremel work, Kitty hair, strengthened the back, DA sanding more Kitty hair more DA sanding, Top Stopper, even more DA sanding, Plastic Primer & flat coat, hand sand, more Plastic primmer and then a **** load of hand sanding a quick mask up blast of U-pol Satin Black and some Satin Lacquer job done.:D

Before.

After.

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/How%20To/Mongssnaps448.jpg

The second lot of work that was done was on Saturday, Started by switching my front R5 springs to the back of the car chucked out the R4's, new Camber tops for the rear new R7 springs in the front and another set of camber bolts in the front (thats 4 sets now!) at the same time the Whiteline Steering rack bushes were fitted along with the Whiteline ALK my God what an improvement! also my Rear Diff front support lock kit, Subframe - lock kit. Big THANKS to Alan (Woodbutch MSOC) for all the hard work and thanks to Rich (Fiestaboy MSOC) for the loan of the ramps at FB HQ!

I still have my Whiteline Roll centre/Bumpsteer kit, wheel bearings, alignment and fluid flush for Rich to do when he can fit me in.

I spent today fiddling a bit more with the ride height at the back and a bit more camber on the front. I can guess what Alan and Rich will do when seeing this bit! :spin: but I gotta be happy with the stance after paying out all this money to do it!

Update:

Ok so after 3 or 4 different bosses untold trips to peoples houses to check out theres, I finally have my Steering wheel on!

(BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE FIREWORKS THE LOT!)

About feckin' time GOD what a palaver, the problem was I didn't want to loose my horn or my turn signal delete, It started off all wrong as MOMO sent me a Boss with fitting kit for a Legacy Twin Turbo 94-98 (which is mine) but wouldn't go anywhere near my set up, A pal had a look and said it all look like Newage Imp stuff not Classic as you would think, so managed to see a fella with a HawkEye Imp and try his, but still no luck as his had been butchered and fettled with to much, eventually managed to get to see a fella just up the road from me he'd been saying for ages to pop and try the one he has sitting in his garage, but he's with the British Military and is never in the country, so anyway got to him took the wheel off he put the boss straight on, fitted wheel, job done 10 mins!!!

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps469.jpg

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps471.jpg

I'm so chuffed with the way it looks, I know it won't be to everyone's taste and the "why get rid of a airbag" debate might start but it's sooooo much better then the Wood effect MOMO LTD one!

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps370.jpg

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps473.jpg

Also managed to dump the Wood effect MOMO LTD Gear-nob for my Richbrook!

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps533.jpg

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps522.jpg

Also today more STANCE! Fettling, I don't know about anyone else but who the FECK designed the C spanners that the companies supply with the Coilies! :whatever: Well the ones that came with the BC are a Chrome jobby with BC engraved in the handle (which I wouldn't admit to making!) had to wrap foam and tape round the handle as they were killing me to use and bruising my Palm! and now shaped like bananas and eat the collars when undoing, I thought it was me being heavy handed but Bc have had complaints, so borrowed my Pals from his Apex set not chrome dipped so did a bit better but still eating the collars!

BUT......Oh.....My.....GOD.....Would.....You.....Look.....At....These.....Bad...

..Boys!!!!!!!

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps527-1.jpg

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk317/BSpoke53/Mongssnaps535.jpg

They are like the STi, the Gucci , the Don Pooper of C Spanners it's knocked about 3/4's of the time off lowing and adjusting the height. Three times as thick made out of stronger steel got a hole for adding a 1/2" ratchet for more lever-ability (did I just make that word up?) Well anyway life savers!

Man, I wish we had the electronic climate controls here in the states...

I'm jealous!

This will annoy you even more, Living in Britain I only use it 3 weeks of the year maybe a month, most of the times it would get used, us Brits have the windows down making the most of what little sun we get!!

Alright Blip, where did they come off of? I really like the detail work you did!

Sorry dude, they are just a set of Imp 4pots, I think from a Classic Sti Wagon, Loads up for grabs on the old "Evilbay" in the UK £150....... They are coming off soon as putting the Brembo's on "WHITE" I know they are brakes but for the amount I use the car and how clean I keep it shouldn't be a problem!

Blipblip, I have a question about your exhaust system! You have twinturbo or monoturbo? and what exhaust system is installed,?

Twin turbo I believe. He should have the EJ20R
