subikid90
Auto right? You can try trans-x, some say it has helped a bit, but your tranny is holding on by its last limb. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
Baddog
Try and give it a new fluid change. See if that helps.
98LGTLover
Try trans-x first, my tranny got like that and I just had to replace it.
kaz98gt
Trans-x will work, but I think you need to do a few cycles of it through the system. So, you're looking at 3 flushes and fills of tranny fluid + trans-x every 1000k miles, then top it off with a fresh set of fluid. I noticed an improvement with mine, but I didn't capitalize on it and keep on flushing the fluid/adding in more trans-x when I had the chance. If you don't have the time/patience/money to do the process at least 2-3 times, it's not worth trying the trans-x.
