Blackrose
Does everyone elses rear defroster suck? It gotten a bit chilly here in chicago and when Im leaving for work my windows are all fogged up. It took the defroster like 15 minutes to make my rear window even slightly useable. Max Capacity
Did you have the AC on recirculate? For 6 years, mine has worked fine. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. 696spd
I agree they suck big time. I'm hoping when I fix all the little breaks in the grid it gets better. When I first turn mine on I see small circles of melted ice indicating hot spots or breaks in the grid, I have about a dozen off them and they also causes FM radio static when on. Mine takes 15- 20 minutes also and by then I'm at work.
mr.hicksta
Yeah mine takes quite awhile as well. At first I thought it might be because of the tint, but now it seems like it just doesn't perform that well.
Ozzy
I've noticed that mine sucks too. Takes quite a while..
specialB
I can't use mine and my FM transmitter at the same time, serious interference
vr4Legacy
Mine works fine, can't comment on FM as I seldom us it. Very few stations around here that don't play the same 20 songs on repeat, XM/iPhone/CDs FTW
mr.hicksta
I haven't had any issues with reception the few times I have listened to the radio. Like vr4Legacy.....120 GB iPod ftw :-)

Blackrose
Well at least I know im not the only one. Its not even that cold out yet. Im sure it will get really annoying when the temps drop under 30 here.

adolan21
Mine works fine other than cutting out all FM stations entirely
Bdubs
Pretty sure there is a TSB to fix that interference problem between the antenna and the defroster.
adolan21
There is a TSB but the fix is well over $100! I think I may just buy the Permatex kit they recommend in the TSB and either do it myself or have an indy shop do it.
Phila
My 95 Legacy's rear defroster has never worked, even after fixing it. So the defroster in the BL's is perfect to me.
BruceBruce
i don't think mine works at all, and my radio signal isn't very strong. stupid 05 and no aux jack.
Shopow
It's weird. The two years I've had this car, sometimes it has worked really quick and sometimes it doesn't seem to do anything. When it's really cold and icy, it seems to occasionally clear the windows quickly. But when it's just fogged up, it takes really long.
Blackrose
I can live with it. Its not really a big deal. Just wanted to see if others were haveing the same "problem". I love my car but like anything there are one or two quirks that are rather annoying.
